The objective of 7 Days to Die is for players to progress by crafting the things they need to survive and scavenging the zombie-infested open environment. However, because the game has such a large map, it can be difficult to navigate the varied terrain on foot, especially in the early stages.

Thankfully, 7 Days to Die offers an extensive list of vehicles for players to use to get around the game swiftly and easily. A Bicycle is one such vehicle that each player will be able to access early on in the game. It’s not as quick as the other choices, but it can still be very helpful in getting players through the game’s initial phase before they can get an automobile.

How to Craft a Bicycle in 7 Days to Die

Before crafting a Bicycle in 7 Days to Die, players can also get their hands on this vehicle by completing the Tier 1 Trader Quests. At the beginning of the game, each player will be given five easy quests they need to complete. Once the quests have been finished, the first Trader, Rekt, will offer the players several rewards, including the Bicycle. If you will be completing all the tier 1 quests from Trader Rekt, it is highly recommended that you pick the Bicycle when choosing your rewards.

In addition, you have the option to create a Bicycle for yourself by selecting any other reward. To do this, you must read the 5/100 of Vehicle Adventures magazine, which will allow you to unlock the Bicycle. After you have finished unlocking the Bicycle, you need to read 10/75 Forge Ahead magazines to unlock Workstations Tier 2. Once you have acquired all the requisite skills, you can begin creating a bicycle on your own.

How to Get Wheels

The Wheel is one of the most essential items required to construct practically every kind of vehicle in 7 Days to Die. It is unlocked along with Tier 1 Vehicles by reading 5/100 Vehicle Adventures skill magazines.

Wheels are commonplace as ground loot, particularly in garages and gas stations. But if you can’t find any for yourself, you can also make them using the materials listed below:

1. Forged Iron x3
2. Scrap Polymers x24
3. Oil x2
4. Coal x15
5. Bottle of Acid x1

Among all the resources required, Scrap Polymers and Bottle of Acid cannot be crafted and can only be found as loot items. Scrap Polymers and Oil can be harvested from broken cars using a wrench. On the other hand, Bottles of Acid can be found randomly in Sinks, Chemistry Sets, Cars, Trash, and many other places across the maps.

You can also find Forged Iron as loot while exploring through the maps or craft it using Combustible fuel and Iron at the Forge. Lastly, Coal can be extracted from Coal Ore or by cutting down trees in the Burnt Forest area.

How to Get Bicycle Chassis

Bicycle Chassis is a vital part you must craft for assembling your Bicycle. The Bicycle Chassis will be unlocked after reading 5/100 Vehicle Adventures and can be crafted using the Workbench. It cannot be found as ground loot and needs to be crafted by using the required resources:

1. Forged Iron x7
2. Mechanical Parts x3
3. Duct Tape x3
4. Leather x3
5. Spring x3

You can easily find plenty of Mechanical Parts and Springs from the required resources by harvesting the vehicle debris on the road. Moreover, Mechanical Parts can be obtained by salvaging most machines, such as air conditioners, office chairs, shopping carts, ovens, etc. However, remember you need a wrench to salvage all this machinery and obtain the required resources.

Duct Tape can be made with Glue x1 and Cloth Fragments x10, or they can be discovered as loot from containers. Lastly, you can obtain leather from the bodies of stags, bears, or rabbits—animals you have to hunt in order to obtain food. Leather needs to be salvaged by using sharp weapons like Bone Knife.

How to Get Bicycle Handlebars

Along with the other parts needed to assemble a Bicycle, the Bicycle Handlebars will also be unlocked once you have read 5/100 Vehicle Adventures skill magazines. Just like the chassis, the handlebars are also required to be crafted through the Workbench by using these resources:

1. Duct Tape x3
2. Leather x3
3. Mechanical Parts x1
4. Short Iron Pipe x9
5. Spring x3

The majority of these resources’ sources have been covered in the previous sections. The Short Iron Pipe is the only additional resource you’ll need to complete your material-gathering process for building a bicycle. Fortunately, the Short Iron Pipe can also be obtained with a wrench from air conditioners, toilets, and car debris, much like many other supplies.

How to Use a Bicycle in 7 Days to Die

After assembling all the necessary components and creating the Bicycle, add it to your collection. Now, proceed to the road and use the scroll wheel on your mouse to select the Bicycle slot. After choosing the Bicycle, a holographic representation of the vehicle will show up on the screen. If the bike’s outline is green, you can place it in that spot by using the right mouse button. To ride the bike after it has been positioned, face it and press E.

The same buttons that you use to move your character left, right, forward, and backward also control the bicycle. Use the Shift button to accelerate and the Spacebar to brake your bike.

How to Repair / Modify a Bicycle in 7 Days to Die

A Bicycle will eventually deteriorate like every other vehicle in the game, and when it is completely destroyed, it will blow up. It is strongly advised that you have your bicycle repaired as soon as possible if it is getting close to the end of its useful life. To repair the bike, you’ll need a Repair Kit in your inventory. Press and hold E while facing the bicycle with the kit in your inventory to bring up the menu. Select Repair to finish the repair operation.

In addition to fixing the bike using the menu, there are numerous more useful features available. First, if your backpack is full, you can use the bicycle’s storage to store more stuff. This can help in making sure you retrieve the most loot when scavenging in remote locations.

You may use the Open menu to get all the information you need to know about your bike. In that menu, there is also a repair button that allows you to fix the bike with a repair kit. You may also use two empty modifier slots and one empty cosmetic slot to alter and customize your bike right from the Open menu.
