Mark your calendars! This magical free event is limited access and open to the public on 31st July for one day only. Wizards, witches and Muggles – grab your wands and get ready to party… you’re invited to a special Harry Potter Birthday Celebration Pop Up!
In honour of the magical wizard’s birthday (which famously lands on 31st July), fans are invited to visit a special Birthday themed celebration event taking place in central London – for one day only.
Fans can don their finest wizarding finery and look forward to playing magical games, posing for spellbinding photo opportunities and checking out cool products before taking home some fabulous goodies, and the best part? It’s completely free to attend!
What’s in store?
- Sign Harry’s Giant Birthday Card: Each guest can write in the card and leave a special birthday wish for Harry Potter!
- Guess How Many Hogwarts House Jellybeans Challenge: Use your powers of Divination to guess how many Hogwarts house colour themed jellybeans are in the jar and be in with a chance of winning a spectacular prize!
- Face Painting: Add a touch of magic to your day with a special Harry Potter themed face paint art.
- Photo Opportunities: Capture your magical moment in our special Harry’s Birthday Celebration photobooth and take away your photo. Guests will also have the chance to pose with a LEGO big build of Harry Potter himself!
- Harry Potter Cupcake Tasting: No birthday party is complete without cake, and these are truly spellbinding! Treat yourself to a full-sized cupcake courtesy of Lola’s Cupcakes, each topped with a whimsical wizarding icon like the Golden Snitch, Sorting Hat, Harry Potter logo, or a Chocolate Frog – while supplies last.
- Spellbinding Displays: Check out enchanting Harry Potter-themed products and displays from Bloomsbury, Jazwares, MGA Entertainment, The Noble Collection, Rubies, Smyths Toys and Spin Master (please note that the product is for display purposes only and there will be no sales).
- Get up close and personal with costumes from the West End production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
- Magical Prizes and Surprise Giveaways: Prizes from the likes of LEGO, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and more will be awarded throughout the day for creative costumes, guest participation, and more.
- Stamp Card Collection: Collect stamps on your special birthday-themed card as you explore the pop-up and activities. Complete your collection and claim a magical party favour to take home!
Where and when?
The Harry Potter Birthday Celebration Pop-Up will take place at 15 Bateman Street, London, W1D 3AQ.
The event will be open during timed slots between 10:00am and 6:00pm for one day only on 31st July 2025.
How to attend?
The event will be ticketed with free, timed entry tickets, which are available on Thursday 17th July from 11am via DesignMyNight – https://www.designmynight.com/london/whats-on/pop-up/harry-potter-birthday-celebration-pop-up-london?t=tickets
The free tickets are limited and will be available to fans on a first come, first served basis – so you’ll need to be quicker than a Quick Quotes Quill… they are expected to go faster than a Golden Snitch!
