Highlights
- The Platinum trophy in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is already extremely tough to unlock due to its 61 trophies, which include hard mode and combat simulator tasks.
- Unfortunately, a bug in the “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” side quest is affecting the G-Bike minigame, preventing some players from earning the Platinum.
- A workaround for the bug involves physical version owners deleting and reinstalling the base game without auto-updates enable, but digital players are out of luck and need to wait for a fix.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth‘s Platinum trophy has been a controversial topic since the game’s launch, but now it seems like the much-coveted achievement is pretty much unobtainable for a subset of players. Many consider Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth‘s Platinum Trophy one of the hardest to get on PS5, which is quite evident from the fact that there are a whopping 61 trophies to obtain, some of which involve a hard mode playthrough and beating very tough combat simulator battles.
The Final Fantasy franchise is known for its notoriously difficult Platinum trophies. For instance, less than 4% of players have gotten Final Fantasy 16’s Platinum Trophy, which is a statistical anomaly compared to some other games. There has been a surge in the number of players aiming for the completionist tag in recent times, with the likes of Bloodborne and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 boasting an impressive Platinum Trophy achievement rate of about 20%. However, it seems like overcoming the difficulty barrier is just one issue when it comes to getting the Platinum for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, as currently, the trophy is impossible to earn for some players.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Walkthrough
Can’t Stop Won’t Stop is the last side quest in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and sees Cloud playing various mini-games to become the Ultimate Party Animal.
In a post on the Final Fantasy7 subreddit, user A0704 highlights how the “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” side quest in the game is bugged. The objective of the quest is to surpass the score of the Ultimate Party Animal in Chocobo Racing, G-Bike, Galactic Saviors, and Musclehead Colosseum and finally beat him in the Final Fantasy 7Rebirth’s popular Queen’s Blood card game. The bug seems to be affecting the G-Bike minigame, as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth refuses to register the record for the player despite surpassing the required 32,000 points.
How To Fix The Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” Quest G-Bike Minigame Bug
This issue has been lingering around ever since patch 1.020 was released for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on March 21st. It’s been a while since the update was released, but the developers has not patched it yet. “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” is the final side quest in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and this bug makes it impossible for some users to get the Platinum trophy, as completing the mission is a part of the requirements for the “My Job Here is Done” achievement.
Thankfully, players have come up with a workaround to fix it, although there is a catch. For players who own the physical version, the process involves deleting Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and installing the base version from the disc. After disabling auto-updates, players should then load their save file and beat the high score again. However considering that there is no way to revert an update for digital plauers, this doesn’t work for a large portion of the fan base. Some have said that replaying the minigame over and over again on a different save file until the score gets registered seems to eventually work, but this is of course not a sure-fire way of earning it.]
Many players have been looking forward to getting the Platinum Trophy in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but it seems like they will have to wait until a patch is released. Fans have already made the issue known to Square Enix, but it remains to be seen when it will get addressed.
