One creative Elden Ring player has recently decided to role-play as Santa Claus for an invasion. While his experiment yielded mixed results, it added to the ever-growing list of memorable multiplayer shenanigans that Elden Ring players have conjured up to date.
Like many other FromSoftware-made soulslikes, Elden Ring features a multiplayer system that allows for both cooperative and PvP play. No matter whether the player is assisting the Host of Fingers as a Furled Finger or invading them as a Bloody Finger, their reward for multiplayer success will always be a combination of a Rune Arc and some runes.

Elden Ring Player Attempts a Friendly Invasion as Santa Claus
And while most players would be happy to get runes, not everyone needs them these days. YouTuber Fiji_World can attest to that fact, having recently decided to get rid of some of his gargantuan rune reserves by dropping them to other players during an invasion, all the while cosplaying as Santa Claus. Aside from five Lord’s Runes worth 250,000 runes in total, the content creator also opted to leave the Erdtree’s Favor +2 Elden Ring talisman to the party that they ended up invading. The Furled Finger either didn’t stop being suspicious about Fiji_World’s motivations or didn’t care, having kept attacking the friendly invader throughout his attempts to gift the host, as seen in the footage of the encounter that the YouTuber shared online.
But the Host of Fingers understood what was going on before long, having accepted the gifts and even attempted to prevent their Furled Finger from attacking by getting in front of them, although without much success. The unusual encounter recently found itself on the front page of the r/EldenRing subreddit, much to the amusement of the game’s fandom. Fiji_World clarified that this wasn’t the only occasion on which he invaded as an Elden Ring Santa Claus, having pointed to one of his late February 2024 videos which documents many such attempts, some more successful than others.
As for the specifics of his cosplay, the YouTuber opted to mimic the jolly gift-giver by combining the Fire Prelate Armor with the Olivinus Glintstone Crown. The latter isn’t the only Elden Ring helm that allows for Santa Claus cosplay, as the Karolos Glintstone Crown has a similar stone beard look going on for it. Ditto for the Twinsage Glinstone Crown, though that one comes with two heads, so it would make for a bit more bizarre take on Santa Claus. The Olivinus Glintstone Crown can be obtained by defeating Glinstone Sorcered in the Raya Lucaria Academy, while the Fire Prelate Armor requires farming Fire Prelates in Fort Laiedd, Giant-Conquering Hero’s Grave, or Guardians’ Garrison.
