Nintendo has revealed that the Summer Nights Splatfest for Splatoon 3 will take place the weekend of July 12. In these game-wide events, players pledge their allegiance to one of three teams and battle it out in Turf Wars to earn points for their side. At the end of the weekend, points are tallied, and one team is declared the winner. This marks the 17th Splatfest of Splatoon 3.
Nintendo announced the Summer Nights Splatfest back in May. Summer in Splatoon is already underway, with the three cities in the game being decorated with pool floaties, a tower of ice cream, and flowers leading up to the main event. Splatfests are one of the most beloved features of Splatoon, bringing the community together each time a new event is announced. Each of the three teams is represented by one of the members of Deep Cut, and the result of the Splatfest is determined by three factors: popularity, Conch Shells, and Clout. The team with the most votes gets 10 points, and the team that earns the most Conch Shells during the sneak peek before the Splatfest kicks off gets 10 points. Additionally, the team with the most Clout in Open/Tricolor Battles gets 15 points, and the team with the most Clout in Pro Battles gets 10 points. The team with the most points at the end of the Splatfest are victorious.
