Publisher Nacon and developer Spiders have announced the early access period for GreedFall 2: The Dying World will begin on PC on September 24, 2024. The announcement came alongside a new trailer that briefly showcases some more cinematic scenes from the game. GreedFall 2: The Dying World will offer an entirely new adventure set before the events of the original title.
GreedFall 2: The Dying World is the second installment in the GreedFall series, and the game is set three years before the first, acting as a prequel. GreedFall 2 returns to Teer Fradee and puts players in the role of a native who is forcibly taken to Gacane, the old continent, and who must fight for their freedom. The second game’s setting mirrors the first GreedFall, in which protagonist De Sardet, a noble family member from Gacane, takes center stage.

In GreedFall 2‘s early access, players can create their own character and seek out allies to join their team while undertaking various missions in a continent marred by constant conflict and devastated by the notorious Malichor plague, as seen in the first GreedFall. Over time, the content available in GreedFall 2 early access will be expanded, with new features such as zones, companions, missions, skills, and general improvements being added over time.
Like the first game, GreedFall 2 will feature unique companions to accompany the protagonist on numerous quests and tasks while players decide whether to complete them with diplomacy, manipulation, or through brutal combat. However, this time, GreedFall 2 has the opportunity to improve companion interactions, which many players felt was lacking in the first game.
Fans interested in GreedFall 2: The Dying World won’t have to wait long to experience it. With GreedFall 2‘s early access, the developer aims to enhance the franchise’s experience by carefully considering community feedback.
