Amazon Prime Day is here (and it’s officially two days long). We’re here to highlight the very best deals among the thousands on the mega-retailer’s storefront, especially products we’ve tested and recommend. Well, if you’re on the hunt for a new phone, you’re in luck. One of the best Prime Day deals right now is on two of Google’s Pixel smartphones: the Pixel 7A and Pixel Fold. These are rare deals and the lowest prices we’ve ever seen on these Android handsets. We’ve also included a few other Pixel deals further below, including the first-ever price drop on the Pixel 8A.

Updated July 17: We’ve updated pricing since the Pixel Fold is now cheaper at Amazon, and the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are now at their lowest prices ever.

The Google Pixel 7A (8/10, WIRED Recommends) was our favorite Android phone of 2023. It’s since been replaced by a successor, the Pixel 8A, but the 7A maintains its excellent value. Snagging it for $249 is an absolute steal—$229 at Best Buy—we’ve never seen it sell for less. Buying last year’s tech is a very smart way to save cash, and the Pixel 7A still holds up to its peers. At this price, it’s one of the best smartphones you’ll find under $300. It has great performance, nice cameras, a bright OLED display, and several more years of software support. Don’t forget all the helpful smart software features Google packs in, all of which we’ve detailed in our Which Pixel Should You Buy guide.

Our only nitpick is the battery life, which can get through a full day with average use but not much more. At this price, it might not matter because it’s really hard to get a better phone for the money. Put your savings into a good battery pack.

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, there’s the Google Pixel Fold (8/10, WIRED Recommends). The company’s first foldable is undeniably fun—if expensive—but this deal brings it down to the lowest price we’ve tracked. This is likely because Google is expected to unveil a successor next month, but why pay nearly $2,000 when you can get last year’s model for hundreds less?

The outer screen works as a normal smartphone—though wider and shorter than you might be used to. If you need more real estate, the device opens up like a book and there you have it: a 7.6-inch AMOLED display at the ready for all your multitasking or split-screening needs.
