A new Genshin Impact leak reveals several quality-of-life features coming in Version 5.0 in late August. The update will introduce a new region, Natlan, and if true, the rumored changes will be incredibly beneficial for returning players to Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Version 4.8 introduced multiple quality-of-life changes, like the reduction of World Boss respawn timers to 10 seconds, as well as Encounter Points becoming cumulative. Another big addition was the Review and Hide Dialogue features, which allow players to hide the dialogue screen during quests to get a better look at the game’s visuals. Many Genshin Impact fans were thrilled with these new features and the continued improvements being made to the gameplay experience.

Genshin Impact is Getting Its Own PS5 Bundle
PlayStation and developer HoYoverse reveal that Genshin Impact is getting a new PS5 bundle with a special gift voucher, but there’s a catch.
It appears HoYoverse isn’t done enhancing Genshin Impact, as a new leak from MadCroiX and Team Mew has revealed over a dozen new quality-of-life features planned for Version 5.0. Out of these changes, a new Abyss feature stands out that will hopefully relieve longtime players. According to the leak, gamers will be able to skip and directly claim rewards from Floors 9 and 10 of Genshin Impact‘s Spyral Abyss if they have cleared them in the previous cycle. Returning players will be glad to know that Version 5.0 may give them more options for easy farming and reward claiming. For example, talent and weapon ascension Domains will be available all week for returning players, instead of the usual restricted-day schedules.
New Quality-Of-Life Features In Genshin Impact Version 5.0 Leaked
The leaked quality-of-life features expected for Genshin Impact Version 5.0 are as follows:
- Players can skip the Spyral Abyss’ floors 9 and 10 and directly claim their rewards if they have already cleared them in the previous period.
- The returning players’ event, otherwise known as Stellar Reunion, will introduce “Return Rewards.” Users can claim rewards by earning “Return Experience,” which is obtained by completing specific tasks, exploring certain areas, and possibly leveling up characters.
- During the returning players’ event, Domains will not be limited by day restrictions. For example, if a certain Domain is usually only open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, returning players will be able to access it all week long.
- The returning players’ event interface can be accessed via the quick wheel.
- Natlan’s Reputation System is adjusted to “Tribal Chronicles” and the nation’s tribes each have different reputation systems.
- Players can possess Natlan’s dragons, such as “Ridgeback Dragon.”
- The following prompt is added to task guidelines: “The task is temporarily unavailable. Go to check details.”
- A prompt will appear before using special reviving dishes on characters.
- A stamina cap notification is added during open-world exploration.
- The Gnostic Hymn and Sojourner’s Battle Pass will allow players to switch between the desired 4-star weapon or talent materials at any time before claiming the rewards.
- Players can report if an NPC has an inappropriate nickname.
- A new character-renaming item is added, similar to the one players used to change Wanderer’s name in the Archon Quest. However, this new item is not exclusive to Wanderer.
- Genius Invokation TCG will introduce new “Special moves” and a mechanic called “Sleight of Hand”, which will let players steal cards.
When Genshin Impact introduces a new nation – something that occurs with every x.0 patch – the game typically experiences a resurgence in its playerbase. As Version 5.0 will introduce the long-awaited Natlan region, it’s no wonder HoYoverse is focusing so much on the returning player’s event. Another interesting feature is the reporting of inappropriate NPC names, which may be related to ongoing complaints regarding Genshin Impact‘s alleged cultural appropriation.
Genshin Impact‘s current 4.8 update is currently celebrating the game’s annual summer event with a limited-time region called Simulanka, which adds plenty of chests and challenges to give players the chance to farm more Primogems. Recently, Genshin Impact gifted gamers 1,600 Primogems to compensate for an undesired change to Neuvillette’s gameplay, adding up to another 10-pull for players waiting for upcoming Natlan characters. Genshin Impact Version 5.0 will be bringing a huge amount of new content for fans who won’t need to wait too long, as the update is set to drop near the end of August.
