The world of Honkai: Star Rail holds many secrets that players can discover while exploring. In Penacony, which is one of the biggest maps in Honkai: Star Rail so far, a neat Easter egg that players can find is a purchasable television that they can bring to the Astral Express.

The television set is the same one that the Trailblazer uses to transform into Brother Hanu and enter the Hanu’s Adventure mini-game to acquire a special chest. Honkai: Star Rail fans can get the TV from Graysen in Dreamflux Reef, who’s selling a Television (Limited Edition) for two Golden Limited Aideen Tokens. Once purchased, it can be placed in the Astral Express’ passenger cabin, which shows that it’s definitely possible to customize the Trailblazer’s base.

Honkai: Star Rail’s TV Opens Up the Door for Astral Express Customization

A promotional visual for Honkai: Star Rail showing the Astral Express.

Unlike previous HoYoverse titles, Honkai: Star Rail doesn’t have a housing feature or customizable space for the main protagonist. Genshin Impact has the Serenitea Pot, which is a realm where players can furnish their home and outdoor areas, and welcome other players into their space. There’s also a gardening system to make players feel like they’re playing a cozy farming simulator. Meanwhile, Honkai Impact 3rd has a more compact housing system in the form of the Dormitory, where chibi versions of Valkyries can hang out and level up their stats. Players can also customize their dorm with decor and furniture that mini Valkyries can interact with.

Honkai: Star Rail‘s main base is the Astral Express, which has accessible passenger rooms for Dan Heng and March 7th. The Trailblazer doesn’t have a room of their own, which leads many fans to believe that they’ll get a customizable one in the future. However, it doesn’t seem to be in HoYoverse’s plans yet, especially if it wants to keep Honkai: Star Rail optimized for mobile.

But now that players can add a TV on the Astral Express, HoYoverse can still add some form of customization without having to create a new elaborate housing system in Honkai: Star Rail. Just like the TV from Penacony, Honkai: Star Rail could let fans collect souvenirs from different worlds that they could display in the passenger cabin and possibly other parts of the Astral Express in the future. It’s a simple yet possibly effective solution to give it a more personal touch without making major changes to Honkai: Star Rail.

The Next Honkai: Star Rail World Should Give Players More Keepsakes

After Penacony, the Astral Express Crew is gearing up for their journey to the next Honkai: Star Rail world Amphoreus, which is rumored to be Greek and Roman-themed. Not a lot is known about Amphoreus yet, but this is also a great opportunity for Honkai: Star Rail to offer another souvenir for the Astral Express at the end of the adventure.

According to leaks, Amphoreus is rumored to be inspired by Thermae, which is a Greek and Roman hot spring, and will allegedly have time-bending mechanics.

One fun idea would be a marble statue similar to the ones Dr. Ratio conjures up during battle. This would be on theme with the rumored Greek and Roman-inspired world, and players could have the freedom to choose the subject for the statue, such as the Trailblazer or even Pom-Pom.

Honkai: Star Rail might not give players a housing feature yet, but souvenirs and keepsakes are still a great way to take a piece of their adventure home with them. It’s similar to how March 7th constantly updates the photo wall in her room with shots she took during their missions: each photo gives a glimpse of important memories. The TV from Penacony is an example of this as it lets Honkai: Star Rail fans transform into Brother Hanu and run around the cabin as they please.
