How To Play Online In World Championship: NES Edition

NES Championship - online

Playing the game online means that you’re entering into the “World Championships,” so to speak. The World Championships option is where players will be able to race against people that they don’t know in the over 150 challenges. Each week, the game will have five different competitions or challenges that players can enter, where they will race to beat the best of the best. At the end of the week, players will be able to participate in the leaderboards and see where they fell compared to the rest of the players that week during specific challenges.

Additionally, the online mode also features Survival Mode, where players compete against other players. However, this mode isn’t a live mode. Instead, you will be paired up with other players who have done Survival Mode in the past and will need to beat the times that they have already set. But, while it technically isn’t a live competition, it does allow players to experience that desire to be the very best.

Playing with friends is a little different from playing online with people. In order to do this, players will want to select Party Mode in the menu and decide how they want to play. While playing in Party Mode, players can either connect with each other via a local connection or by sharing a singular screen. From there, they can either race against each other on the same challenge, or they can do a mixture of challenges that they will all race to get through as fast as possible.
