Genshin Impact has officially revealed a new five-star polearm that will arrive on the second banner phase of Version 4.8. Similar to characters, Genshin Impact‘s weapons have different rarities, with five-star weapons usually being the most powerful. At the moment, there are five weapon types in the game, and each character can only carry one type of weapon.

Developer HoYoverse has previously confirmed that the second part of the update will introduce the long-awaited Dendro user from Fontaine, Emilie. The game’s recent announcements also revealed that Genshin Impact 4.8 will be the last update of the Fontaine arc, after which a new region named Natlan will become unlocked.

A new Genshin Impact chart shows a significant sales difference between the two recently featured five-star Hydro users, Furina and Sigewinne.

A post by Genshin Impact‘s official Twitter account has revealed a new five-star polearm called Lumidouce Elegy, which will be featured on the game’s Weapon banner during the second phase of Genshin Impact Version 4.8. HoYoverse’s official announcements have revealed that the second banner cycle should arrive around August 6. The item will serve as the signature weapon for the upcoming five-star Dendro user, Emilie.

Genshin Impact Reveals Emilie’s Signature Weapon Stats

  • Weapon Type: Polearm
  • Rarity: Five-star weapon
  • Base Attack: 608
  • Secondary stat: Crit Rate
  • Secondary stat max. value: 33.1%
  • Passive: Increases ATK by 15%.

After the weapon holder triggers Burning on an enemy or deals Dendro damage to an opponent affected by Burning, the damage will increase by 18%. This effect has 2 stacks and lasts for 8 seconds. Once two stacks are obtained, the effect is refreshed and 12 Energy particles are restored. The passive effect can be triggered even if the character gets swapped out, meaning that this weapon will be a decent choice for off-field supports in Genshin Impact.

While many fans in the replies praise the weapon’s design, claiming that it’s probably the most beautiful polearm in Genshin Impact, others feel that its passive effect means that it won’t be too flexible. Many players have been asking HoYoverse to rework the weapon so that its passive works on a couple of other elemental reactions besides Burning.

Despite being the first Dendro reaction present in the game, Burning is not too popular in Genshin Impact‘s current meta. It would not come as a surprise if HoYoverse decides to make some small adjustments to the polearm, considering that the company recently changed Emilie’s kit in Genshin Impact to make her more viable. She is expected to be a powerful Dendro support who can dish out tons of damage even if she’s not on the field, thanks to her Lumidouce Case effect.
