This article has SPOILERS for the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC’s update has reportedly made a significant nerf to the Circlet of Light helm after which it only boosts Light of Miquella and not any other of his other incantations. The Elden Ring update reportedly aimed to fix the issue with the item since it wasn’t applying the buff on the Light of Miquella, but it seems like the developers have removed all other buffs granted by Circlet of Light in the process.

The recent Elden Ring update made a plethora of balance changes to the game. Some bugs came along with it as well, as players ran into a strange issue where the final boss in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC was dying automatically. Amid that, fans have discovered a huge change FromSoftware introduced recently which was nowhere mentioned in the patch notes.

Elden Ring Jumps Back to the Top of Sales Charts

Years later, Elden Ring continues to be a juggernaut in the gaming world, taking the top spot, thanks in part to its new DLC.

In a new post on the Elden Ring subreddit, user SpliTteR31 highlights an important change made in the recent update which affected a really important item. One of the fixes that was rolled out as part of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC’s 1.13 update was related to the Circlet of Light, as it wasn’t applying the damage buff to the Light of Miquella. While that started working as intended after the update was rolled out, it seems like the item is no longer giving the 10% damage buff to the Discus of Light , Triple Rings of Light , Radagon’s Ring of Light, and Multilayered Ring of Light .

How To Get Circlet Of Light In Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

In order to get the Circlet of Light , players will need to defeat the final boss, Promised Consort Radahn in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. The Circlet of Light has been quite popular in the Elden Ring community, especially with players who are into “Fashion Souls.” The perks it provided were an added benefit, but players mostly preferred it for its looks. Another really overlooked aspect about the item is the fact that it gives 5 Poise while weighing only 1 pound, which is by far one of the best in Elden Ring.

Fans have been quite disappointed with the update, with many highlighting the fact that it doesn’t make sense for the Circlet of Light to not boost all of Miquella’s incantations, as the item is adorned by Miquella himself. In fact, some players even highlighted that the item should’ve boosted all sorceries and incantations instead, considering the fact that it is a reward for beating the final boss of the game. For now, players seem to be sticking to the Dryleaf Seal in Elden Ring, which boosts Miquella’s incantations by 15%.
