Destiny 2 players have a very limited window to farm the Pre Astyanax IV, one of the game’s most useful legendary bows from Season of the Witch. The Pre Astyanax IV bow received various adjustments and changes following its initial debut in Destiny 2 Season of the Witch, making it a compelling option for Solar Guardian builds.
Destiny 2 Episode 1: Echoes launched on June 11, following the Witness’ defeat by Guardians in the Salvation’s Edge raid. In the first act, players returned to Nessus to investigate the strange Echo that began to resonate after the Witness’ death. While learning more about what’s unfolding on Nessus, players are introduced to a slew of new gear, including reissued fan-favorite weapons from past seasons like the Perfect Paradox legendary shotgun. The Pre Astyanax IV is one of the game’s reissued weapons, and it’s better than ever before.

Destiny 2 May Have Broken a Lot of Godrolls For Endgame PvE Content
Destiny 2’s most recent patch made a lot of changes to the game, and one may break PvE godrolls for many weapons.
As spotted by Dexerto, the Pre Astyanax IV Solar legendary bow is available as a Grandmaster Nightfall reward until August 13, which is the date for the next weekly reset in Destiny 2. Players will need to team up and act fast to earn this Solar bow before the weekly reset arrives and overwrites the current Grandmaster Nightfall strike with a new one. Unlike its Season 22 counterpart, the reissued Pre Astyanax IV bow has a wider variety of perks, including Shoot To Loot, Archer’s Tempo, Attrition Orbs, Explosive Head, Incandescent, and Archer’s Gambit. These perks allow the weapon to synergize with Prismatic Guardian builds in Destiny 2 quite nicely, and it’s a great option for Solar builds as well. For example, Pre Astyanax IV final blows with Incandescent will spread scotch to nearby enemies and eventually cause Solar explosions.
Destiny 2 Players Have Until August 13 to Farm a Pre Astyanax IV Solar Bow
The updated perk pool for the Pre Astyanax IV offers more damage potential and lower draw times compared to its Season 22 version, making the bow an excellent choice for adding clearing in Destiny 2’s suite of in-game activities, including raids. Moreover, the weapon can be enhanced, so perks like Incandescent and Archer’s Gambit will become even more powerful in the enhanced state.
Once the August 13 weekly reset arrives, players will only have two weeks to prepare for the launch of Destiny 2 Episode: Echoes Act 3 on August 27. This will be the final act for the Echoes storyline and likely set up the premise for Episode 2: Revenant, which is expected to begin in October. Players can expect new weapons, story missions, a new Exotic, and much more in Echoes Act 3. Bungie will also reveal details about the future of Destiny and its multi-year journey, but it’s unclear when exactly these reveals will occur.
