Tarsier’s new horror game, Reanimal, was teased before Gamescom and, while it is apparently a new IP, it bears a striking if not indistinguishable resemblance to Little Nightmares. That said, its particular focus on animal monstrosities may set it apart.

Monster Hunter Wilds Making a Great Change to Armor Sets

Monster Hunter Wilds has announced a few significant quality-of-life changes since its reveal. However, the fact that players will be able to wear a traditionally masculine- or feminine-style armor set regardless of how they customize their character initially is a massive boon for the franchise.

Borderlands 4 Announced with Cinematic Trailer

The Borderlands movie was received poorly, being one of few video game adaptations to not stick its landing recently. Thankfully, Gearbox’s announcement of Borderlands 4 at Gamescom might be precisely what the franchise needs to wash that taste out of its mouth.

Indiana Jones Release Date and Spring 2025 PS5 Window Revealed

Bethesda’s Indiana Jones game was always slated for a 2024 launch, but with so few months in the year left it was unsure whether it could fulfill that promise. Now, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set to be released in December with a PS5 release in Spring 2025.

Marvel Rivals Announces Two New Characters and Release Date

Marvel Rivals arrived at Gamescom with an official reveal for Captain America and Winter Soldier as launch characters. Likewise, it was announced that Marvel Rivals, like Indiana Jones, launches right at the end of the year.

Batman: Arkham Shadow’s first gameplay reveal arrived during Gamescom Opening Night Live and unveiled several actors reprising their roles from previous Arkham games. The trailer confirms Lyle Bolton’s Lock-Up will be an antagonist and that Batman will be working with Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent in pursuit of the Rat King.

Movies & TV

Secret Level, an upcoming anthology series on Prime, takes video game adaptations to a whole new level. In it, each episode will reportedly be based on an individual game IP and feature original stories within those worlds.

2024 is going out with a bang as it seems that its final several months have been filled out with scheduled games. Nintendo Switch isn’t trailing behind other platforms, either, with titles such as Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and Mario & Luigi: Brothership being highly anticipated.
