How To Complete Daoist Mi’s Quest In Black Myth: Wukong
Black Myth: Wukong may not be an open-world game, but that doesn’t mean players don’t get rewarded for exploring the locations that are available in the game. Often, a different turn can lead to a completely different boss fight and sometimes to the discovery of valuables.
Additionally, it lets players unlock secret areas that would otherwise remain undiscovered. In Chapter 4, Black Myth: Wukong players can unlock a secret area called the Purple Mountain. In order to reach it, they will have to beat Venom Daoist twice. After inflicting the second loss, they can enter the Purple Mountain and tackle Daoist Mi’s quest.

How To Start Daoist Mi’s Quest In Black Myth: Wukong
Black Myth: Wukong players will first have to reach Petalfall Hamlet Keeper’s Shrine. From there, go straight and climb up the stairs until you reach an open area. Look towards the left, and you should see Daoist Mi standing. Talk to him, and he will explain how some people fell prey to their greed. He will then ask you to collect the Violet Hail.
How To Complete Daoist Mi’s Quest In Black Myth: Wukong
As previously stated, players will need to find the Violet Hail, which is dropped from one of the enemies in the area. So, beat as many yellow-robed enemies as you can to get the Violet Hail. After obtaining the item, go back to Daoist Mi and hand over the Violet Hail. Instead of giving players a reward, Daoist Mi will become aggressive and start attacking.
Daoist Mi Phase 1
In the first phase, Daoist Mi will use his agility to land attacks on players. Use the Immobilize spell to make the fight easier, and if you want to end things quickly, use A Pluck of Many to bombard him with attacks. Upon being defeated, he will transform into a worm, which will start the second phase.
Daoist Mi Phase 2
- Can inflict poison
- Beating him unlocks Violet Hail transformation
In the next sequence, Daoist Mi’s attacks become stronger, and they can inflict players with poison. So, be careful while attacking. Players can use Immobilize again and follow it up by transforming into Red Tides. This should be enough to finish Daoist Mi for good. After beating him, players will receive the Violet Hail transformation, which is extremely useful for fighting bosses that inflict poison as it nullifies the effect completely.
If you don’t finish Daoist Mi’s quest before beating The Duskveil, you will be locked out of it. So,
finish the side quest and
then take down the main boss of the area.
