League of Legends features a huge roster of characters, each with a wide variety of purchasable skins. Some are edgier than others, with a great selection of cute and colorful variants of players’ favorite champions.

Skin lines such as the popular and adorable Cafe Cuties and the vibrant magical Star Guardian skins are also available. While this list only covers a portion of the amazing skins that League of Legends offers, the skins below are some of the best ones available aesthetically.

Updated August 29, 2024 by Joe Grantham: League of Legends has a roster of over 160 champions, and every champion has a variety of skins that players can purchase or hope to unlock for free via the Hextech Crafting loot system. Naturally, the older and more popular champions have many more skins than the more recent additions to the roster, but as technology and art are constantly evolving, the best League of Legends skins are often some of the most recent.

Many factors make for great skins in League, from the splash art to the in-game model, as well as new voiceovers or other unique effects. Skins that can cohesively combine all of these factors make for truly unique experiences in the game, and once players get hold of the best LoL skins, it’s hard to go back to using base skins.

30 Super Galaxy Rumble

Legendary Skin: 1820 RP

  • New voiceover
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New animations & recall

Rumble’s base skin is arguably one of the worst in the game, which makes his best skin, Super Galaxy Rumble, even more appealing. The skin completely transforms Rumble into a futuristic space mech, with his overall appearance being much cleaner. The white and orange work especially well together.

When it comes to Super Galaxy Rumble’s animations and VFX, things are just as good. The impressive thing about this skin is that it was released in 2024, but is still on par with much more recent skins.

29 Zombie Brand

Legendary Skin: 1820 RP

League of Legends Zombie Brand Skin

  • New voiceover
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New animations & recall

Released in 2012, Zombie Brand is certainly one of the best League skins from a previous generation, and it has stood the test of time. It is the animations that make this skin so iconic, as they completely transform Brand into a mindless zombie with little control over his movement.

He feels completely different to even walk with, in a way that is unlike any other skin in the game. Instead of harnessing fire, Zombie Brand damages his enemies with a green kind of poison and even leaves similar footsteps behind in his wake.

28 Mecha Zero Sion

Legendary Skin: 1820 RP

League of Legends Zero Mecha Sion Skin

  • 8 chromas
  • New voiceover
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New animations & recall

Mecha Zero Sion essentially transforms Sion from an undead warrior into a Transformer from the movies of the same name. Everything about this skin is futuristic, from his robotic voice to holographic shields that surround him during his E.

The most iconic aspect of Zero Mecha Sion, however, is his ultimate, which turns Sion into an unstoppable freight train, as he shouts “Choo Choo!” The animation of this transformation is simply sublime and makes players feel incredibly powerful.

27 Pizza Delivery Sivir

Epic Skin: 1350 RP

League of Legends Pizza Delivery Sivir Skin

  • 5 chromas
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New animations & recall

Sivir is an old champion with a tonne of skins, but there’s one that stands out above the rest. Pizza Delivery Sivir is simply perfect, and whoever had the idea to switch out her Boomerang Blade for a pizza hopefully received their fair share of pizza.

While the idea was already great, the execution of her uniform and the colors, immortalize Pizza Delivery Sivir as one of the most iconic. Players will also notice that the pizza toppings change throughout the game, keeping things literally fresh. This skin gives a new meaning to the phrase “feeding the enemy”.

26 Armor Of The Fifth Age Taric

Budget Skin: 750 RP

League of Legends Armor of the Fifth Age Taric Skin

When Taric received his rework, his Armor of the Fifth Age skin went from being one of the most ugly and comical skins to a beautiful pink skin. Taric’s flowing locks and rock-hard abs are complemented by fluffy pink leg warmers which keep him nice and toasty when things get dull in the Bot Lane.

While the skin doesn’t have any fancy new effects or animations, this is also a positive, as it allows players on a budget to get one of the best-looking skins in League.

25 True Damage Ekko

Legendary Skin: 1820 RP

League of Legends True Damage Ekko Splash Art

  • 8 chromas
  • New voiceover
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New animations & recall

True Damage is a virtual pop group made up of League champs, which was first released alongside Worlds 2019. One of the stars was Ekko and players are able to carry on the hype in-game with the True Damage Ekko skin. On top of looking absolutely stunning, the main highlight of the skin is how seamlessly the new SFX and VFX work together. Players will feel like a DJ every time they use an ability, while Ekko absent-mindedly throws out some lines, provided by the voice of rapper Umar ‘Thutmose’ Ibrahim.

As a Legendary skin, players can expect new animations on top of the voiceover and effects, with these animations adding an extra level of fluidity to Ekko’s movements. Additonally, in a game where yellow champions and skins seem to be rare, his yellow highlights truly pop.

24 Cafe Cuties Gwen

Epic Skin: 1350 RP

cafe cuties gwen

  • 8 chromas
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New recall

Players were extremely excited when the Cafe Cuties set was announced. Fans of League of Legends could finally play as their favorite champions whilst wearing maid dresses, what’s not to love? Gwen’s original skin is already fantastic, but the Cafe Cuties variant gives her blonde twin tails with pink spiral highlights.

She wears a charming maid headdress to go with her pastel blue frilly maid dress, which is decorated with golden and purple detailing. It’s a great alternative to her base skin, and it even adds some extra details to her unique scissor weapon.

23 Pajama Guardian Soraka

Epic Skin: 1350 RP

pajama guardian soraka

The Pajama Guardian skin set is an adorable spin on the already excellent Star Guardian set and sees popular champions, such as the premier healing support Soraka, dressed up in cute and magical onesies.

With Soraka’s long wavy turquoise hair flowing down, and her pointy ears that have been turned into a fluffier and cuter alternative, the cozy vibes are heavily amplified. The hood of the onesie features a cute cat-like design, while Soraka’s iconic horn pokes through her bangs.

22 God Fist Lee Sin

Legendary Skin: 1820 RP

League of Legends God Fist Lee Sin Splash Art

  • New voiceover
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New animations & recall

Despite being an older champ, Lee Sin’s kit remains extremely fun even in modern League of Legends, but to keep his visuals up to date, he will be receiving a purely aesthetic update soon. Legendary skins, however, use freshly made models and animations, breathing new life into old champions.

God Fist Lee Sin is a great example of this and adds a divine aspect to the blind monk. The warm gold of his eyes and fist are the two main drawing points of the splash art, but in the game, most of Lee appears gold, including his abilities. The second part of his Q, for example, sees Lee fly through the air in a flurry of gold that can only be described as god-like.

21 Soul Fighter Naafiri

Epic Skin: 1350 RP

League of Legends Soul Fighter Naafiri splash art

  • 9 chromas
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New recall

As one of the new dogs on the block, Naafiri currently only has one skin, but the new art style makes Soul Fighter Naafiri one of the best skins in League as a whole. With bold black lines and shiny colors that pop out of the screen, the rendering of the entire Soul Fighter skin line is unlike anything else in the game and a real visual treat.

Players will particularly enjoy the chromas for Soul Fighter Naafiri, which not only change the color of Naafiri herself but also of her packmates. Arguably the best chroma is one that turns Naafiri black and her hounds white.

20 Forecast Janna

Legendary Skin: 1820 RP

League of Legends Forecast Janna Splash Art

  • New voiceover
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New animations & recall

In League, there are beautiful skins and funny skins, and arguably one of the most hilarious examples of the latter category is Forecast Janna. As a support champion who is all about the wind and storms, her transformation into a weather forecaster is beyond perfect.

Carrying around a large microphone and umbrella, this Janna skin is comedy gold with countless animations and jokes that see her nearly being blown away. As a Legendary skin, players are treated to a new voice-over, with Janna fully taking on the role of a member of the news team, reporting from Summoner’s Rift.

19 Nunu & Beelump

Epic Skin: 1350 RP

League of Legends Nunu & Beelump Splash Art

  • 8 chromas
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New recall

Since their initial release some years ago, the bee skins have caused quite the buzz, and arguably the best of them all is Nunu & Beelump, a skin for Nunu & Willump. Even without the amazing effects and sounds of rolling a massive glob of honey, the model for Willump is truly astounding, with the yeti being turned into a terrifyingly large bee that is somehow simultaneously cute.

The yellow and brown hair in particular look as though players could reach out and pull it, and these visuals are a true testament to how far the game’s aesthetics have come over the years. With 8 chromas available, players can play around with different colors for Willump’s coat, although arguably the standard yellow is best given this is what bees look like.

18 Truth Dragon Yasuo

Legendary Skin: 1820 RP

League of Legends Truth Dragon Yasuo Splash Art

  • New voiceover
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New animations & recall

Yasuo is a champion with many great skins, although unfortunately none of them will help players reach his infamous ten-death power spike any faster. Nevertheless, arguably the most beautiful Yasuo skin is his Truth Dragon skin which is a Legendary. It also happens to be a twin of his almost as stunning Dream Dragon skin.

The contrast between black and gold and the oriental art style of the splash art and Yasuo’s in-game model add elegance to this skin, and players should enjoy the dragon effects on his abilities as they glide through the minions in mid-lane.

17 Dark Cosmic Jhin

Legendary Skin: 1820 RP

League of Legends Dark Cosmic Jhin Splash Art

  • New voiceover
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New animations & recall
  • Transforms

Jhin’s Legendary Dark Cosmic skin transforms him into an interstellar entity and players will feel power coursing through their veins when they open up his ultimate ability, Curtain Call, to unleash devastation on their opponents.

With an ethereal new voiceover, eerily beautiful effects, and an in-game model that transcends Jhin into an almost omnipotent being, it is easy to see why this is one of the best LoL skins ever made. Players that like this skin will also love Dark Star and Cosmic skins, of which there are many.

16 Broken Covenant Cho’Gath

Epic Skin: 1350 RP

League of Legends Broken Covenant Cho'Gath Splash Art

  • 8 chromas
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New recall

While the Broken Covenant Cho’Gath skin is sadly slightly brought down by Cho’Gath’s outdated in-game model and animations, the splash art is easily one of the best in League. This eerie concept is reminiscent of the walking mausoleums from Elden Ring, as Cho’Gath has some sort of temple on his back.

Naturally, as Cho’Gath grows in size over the game, the skin truly comes into its own. The exciting thing about this skin is that, seeing as Cho’Gath is an older League champion who surely deserves an update, this skin could reach new heights down the line.

15 Prestige Empyrean K’Sante

Prestige Skin: Sometimes Available From The Mythic Store

League of Legends Prestige Empyrean K'Sante Splash Art

  • New SFX & VFX
  • New animations & recall

When it comes to glamorous skins in League of Legends, it’s hard to argue against ranking Prestige Empyrean K’Sante first. This skin is truly one of a kind as it was co-designed by the rapper Lil Nas X, who collaborated with Riot on the Worlds 2022 anthem.

Unlike many other Prestige skins, it is completely different from his normal Empyrean skin and makes him one of the best-dressed male champions in the game. The visual effects which are mostly purple and gold are worthy of any king, and are accordingly topped off with equally beautiful sound effects.

14 Dawnbringer Soraka

Legendary Skin: 1820 RP

League of Legends Dawnbringer Soraka Splash Art

  • New voiceover
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New animations & recall
  • Transforms

Dawnbringer Soraka, which has a Nightbringer twin skin, is one of the most breathtaking in the game, transforming Soraka from a fairly ugly champion into an angelic vision. Although the splash art is a little darker, the in-game model is lighter with plenty of white, and thus she almost appears as a two-legged unicorn.

As one of the most iconic healers in any game, Soraka’s global healing ult has never looked so good with the skin’s incredible visual effects.

13 Spirit Blossom Kindred

Epic Skin: 1350 RP

League of Legends Spirit Blossom Kindred Splash Art

  • 8 chromas
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New recall

The Spirit Blossom skin line is easily one of the most beautiful in the game, with many great installments over the years. Out of these, Spirit Blossom Kindred is among the best, and although Kindred players had to wait over four years to receive a new skin, the wait was well worth it.

Both Lamb and Wolf look incredible both in the game and in the splash art. The visual effects are lush and feel alive, with soothing oriental sound effects topping off the skin. As Kindred already has graceful animations, it doesn’t matter that this skin is only an Epic and thus receives no new ones.

12 God-King Garen

Legendary Skin: 1820 RP

God-King Garen protects Demacia in his League of Legends Splash Art.

  • New voiceover
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New animations & recall

God-King Garen is a legendary tier skin that certainly lives up to its name. It was released in 2018 alongside another great skin, God-King Darius as part of a versus event between the two Top Lane rivals.

The skin has a majestic white theme with a phantom lion forming a key aspect of the skin and Garen’s animations. It is these unique animations and effects, as well as the new voiceover, that make this skin so beautiful even half a decade after its release.

11 Elementalist Lux

Ultimate Skin: 3250 RP

League of Legends Elementalist Lux Splash Art

  • New voiceover
  • New SFX & VFX
  • New animations & recall
  • Transforms into 10 different forms.

Elementalist Lux is one of the few Ultimate skins in the game and is unique in how it works. When players purchase this skin, they are not just getting one fantastic skin, but ten.

At the start of the game Lux will start out in Light form, but through the course of the game, players can undergo two transformations, the first of which is a choice between Air, Nature, Water, and Fire. Based on the first choice players can then become Magma, Storm, Mystic, Ice, or Dark.
