The Samsung SSDs include a nickel-coated heat shield that reduces overheating, AES 256-bit Full Disk Encryption, and Samsung’s TurboWrite 2.0 software to improve transfer speeds and reduce lag.

The Samsung 990 EVO Plus Gen4 SSDs come in three sizes and prices. The 1TB model retails at $109.99, while the 2TB and 4TB are $184.99 and $344.99, respectively. Impressively, this is a lower price than the original 990 EVO SSDs from Samsung, which were $124.99 for the 1TB model and $209.99 for the 2TB model. This makes it an even better deal, as Samsung points out that the sequential read and write speeds have improved 50% and power efficiency has improved by 73% over the older model.
