Look Back is based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s one-shot manga of the same name, which was released in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump+ in 2021. The adaptation was announced back in February 2024. It was screened at the French Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where it participated in a non-competitive category. Look Back was released in Japanese cinemas on June 28, 2024.
