How To Start The Nightveil Hallow Event In New World: Aeternum
To start the Nightveil Hallow Quest in New World: Aeternum, players need to approach the central areas of every main city and look for a Bubbling Cauldron with a spooky Witchhunter next to it. This NPC is called Salvatore. He will be the handler of the event and its reward shop.
This quest is repeatable, which means players can take it multiple times and hunt down Baalphazu every day. Accumulating Event reputation in the process.

New World: Aeternum – How To Sheathe Your Weapon
While it is explicitly explained, there is a simple way to put away your weapon in New World: Aeternum.
Talk to Salvatore, and select the Start Quest option, then receive Baalphazu’s Fall quest, which will send players to track and take down Baalphazu, a World Boss. Every time players take down Baalphazu, they will earn Event reputation and unlock new rewards in Salvatore’s shop. But first, they need to actually track down and kill the beast, so, let’s do that next: time to check the Baalphazu Fight strategy as well as the details on how to complete the Quest.
How To Complete Baalphazu’s Fall In New World: Aeternum
During the fight, Baalphazu will use the following attacks:
- Circle of Vaccum: Sporadically, the Boss will channel a green circle that will expand. Players in the furthest circle (often Range attackers) will be pulled in, damaged, and stunned.
- Branch Attack: Blockable simple attack, stay in the back of the boss to dodge it, or use a shield or Two-Handed Weapon to block it. Note: Cannot be parried with the Rapier’s ability.
- Branch Smite: Baalphazu will yelp “I Will Destroy You,” and perform an unblockable area strike that will cause a lot of damage, dodge or stay away from it.
- Teleport: Baalphazu can randomly teleport between the corners of the Arena, if left unchecked, it will lose aggro and reset, so watch out for that.
- Summon Pumpkinites, Gourdspewer, Calabashers: Baalphazul will summon adds frequently. Pumpkinites explode and cause Pumpkin Fall in small areas when killed. Gourdspewers and Calabashers drop a small healing AoE when killed, and players need to take advantage of this to survive the fight.
- Pumpkin Fall: After each Pumpkinite summoned is killed, Baalphazu will summon a rain of AoE damaging pumpkins that players need to dodge or take moderate damage. There’s no way to block this attack, and players should stay away from it. After the Pumpkins fall, they will remain in the floor, so players can pick them up and throw them to Baalphazu to stun him.
The best strategy for this boss is to stay as far away from him as possible if players are ranged DPS, that is. For Melee combatants, try to stay on the back of the boss and let more tanky players aggro it and kite him around as the rest deal damage. Dodge the Pumpkinite explosion, then pick up the heads and throw them at the boss so it becomes stunned and everyone can attack him during a brief period of respite.
Tanks should be extremely careful not to get caught by the Branch Smite or the Pumpkin Fall attacks, as they will cause considerable damage to them and cannot be blocked. Manage stamina carefully, and there’s no shame in retreating if health drops below 50%, to let other tanks take charge. It’s a public world event after all.
Healers should always be aware of the Pumpkinites and dodge them as best as possible. Keep using area heal and focus it on the area surrounding the boss, as the rest of the players taking it down will need it. Don’t worry about contribution, all rewards are fixated, but players need to remain inside the arena to receive them, so don’t die.
Once Baalphazu dies, it will drop a reward box as well as some other rewards, including exp, coin, azoth, and probably a spooky costume or two. Now, with Baalphazu’s Ichor in hand, run back to Salvatore’s cauldron, and interact with it to finish the Quest and receive the rewards.

How To Get More Nightveil Hallow Caches In New World: Aeternum
Every time players complete the Daily Quest Baalphazu’s Fall, they will receive a Nightveil Hallow Cache, but there are other ways to receive one:
