Face Off mode in the Call of Duty series encourages more chaotic action. It changes from game to game slightly, but in Black Ops 6 it retains the teams of six but puts them on small maps reserved for the Gunfight mode. Because of this, certain strategies that did not work before become a lot more viable.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 – 7 Best Weapons For The Payback Map

Learn which weapons provide the most advantages on Payback, one of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s most popular online maps.

Adversely, what works fine on larger maps is not the advantage that it once was. Adjusting one’s playstyle in minute ways can dramatically improve how many kills one gets or how successful they are in completing the game mode’s objective. Even though the matches are hectic and disorderly, there is still a way to come out on top with some planning.

7 Adjust The Loadout Depending On The Map

Different Maps Call For Different Measures

Face Off rules change depending on the match because it is a playlist and not just a single game mode. The maps themselves, though all small, have different vibes. Stakeout is purely interiors and filled with tight corners, Warhead is circular with a house in the center, and Gala is a rectangle with open areas and a little cover to the sides.

Do not be afraid to have similar loadouts at the ready with slight adjustments to account for the differing geometry of each map. Gala, for example, might warrant a proper scope where Stakeout with the same weapon would have no need for one.

6 Avoid Perks That Use Scorestreaks

They Just Do Not Matter

Scorestreaks are disabled in Face Off mode. It makes sense for logistical and gameplay reasons. For one, having helicopters, RC cars, and turrets might be overwhelmingly chaotic. Secondly, some of the maps are entirely indoors, which would render many of the scorestreaks completely useless.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 – 6 Multiplayer Changes That Should Be Added

While Black Ops 6 is a great experience in multiplayer and a definite success, there are still a few changes that could benefit the game.

With this knowledge, avoid using perks that affect Scorestreaks. They are completely useless in this game mode. Other perks have their strengths in this mode, so the player can decide for themselves what is best. It is worth considering the Specialties one receives if they equip three perks of the same color, however.

5 LMGs Are Great

Spray And Pray Works

With their slow reload times, poor accuracy, and slow ADS speed, LMGs are not always the best in multiplayer, especially without attachments. They take on a whole new life here, however. The Stakeout map in particular lends itself to the LMG. The tight hallways make accuracy less of an issue.

If enemy team members are traveling together, spray and pray is a viable tactic, since the LMG is bound to hit something. With a few attachments that improve recoil and ADS speed, the gun becomes a truly valuable partner in these fast-paced game modes.

Reload times are still super long for these guns, but that matters less in a game mode like this where deaths happen quickly and often to even the best of players.

4 Long-Range Still Matters

Depending On The Map

Even though the maps are smaller, that does not mean that one should focus exclusively on close-range fighting. Some of the maps still have open areas that benefit from increased accuracy and damage range. Gala and Warhead are two that come to mind where enemies can pick off players from a distance. Gala is particularly welcome to long-range firefights with its flat design and open areas with almost no cover.

Be both wary of this when selecting a loadout and aware of other players who have sniper rifles. Even on the Stakeout map there are a couple of spots where snipers camp behind a counter, giving them a straightaway vantage point to anybody who runs in their sights.

3 The Gunfighter Wildcard

More Attachments Makes For A Better Weapon

Players can equip five attachments to each weapon. This is quite a bit already, but it leaves a lot to be desired. Fortunately, the Gunfighter Wildcard lets players equip three more attachments. This still leaves a slot open where no attachment can be equipped, but it still offers a noticeable difference in a weapon’s performance.

Black Ops 6: Best Finishing Moves, Ranked

Black Ops 6 holds some impressive Finishing Moves that will allow players to kill their enemies in some creative and gruesome ways.

Black Ops 6 is already an almost absurdly fast game, and Face Off makes it even faster. The slight increase in ADS speed or the tiny damage boost can mean the world where a split-second reaction time determines who wins a gunfight.

Gunfighter unlocks at level 33. However, it can be unlocked earlier with the permanent unlock token one earns with each prestige.

2 Do Not Run And Gun In Gala

Or Do And Run Right Into A Bullet

While most of the maps encourage a run-and-gun mentality due to how quick it is to find enemies and how easy it is for people to shoot each other in the back, Gala is a different ball game. It is not circular like Warhead or Stakeout and, as previously stated, it has an open area ripe for snipers to pick off enemies.

It is not smart to run out into the open and wait to be the victim of a headshot from someone across the map.

It is okay to take it a little slower here and roam in the spaces that will not leave one vulnerable to expert marksmen. Snipers might be deadly, but they have no power as long as players do not run into their crosshairs.

1 Semtex And Flashbags Are A Deadly Combination

For Some Quick Kills

Some might have different opinions on the best lethal and tactical equipment. Keeping it simple seems to be the most effective. However, Frag Grenades, despite their increased blast radius, take too long to cook, leaving one vulnerable if they want to cook it in their hand or giving enemies too much time to run. Semtex explode quickly and stick to people, making it great especially on tighter areas.

Flashbags are also great at disorienting enemies and blinding them long enough for them to be defenseless to attackers. With how tightly packed players are in many of the maps, it is easy to effectively use both of these throwable pieces of equipment.
