While the former is a calm and stoic captain who takes his role very seriously, Rangiku is a fun-loving and largely carefree companion who often tries to bring Hitsugaya out of his shell through pranks and gaffs.

As soon as Ichigo landed in the Soul Society to rescue Rukia, Kenpachi sprinted towards him, eager at the prospect of taking on someone who may exceed his own strength and abilities. Kenpachi is also a man who enjoys screaming out loud whatever is on his mind at that current moment, a prime example being his glee-filled response to Gremmy calling down a meteor in the Thousand Year Blood War arc.

Riruka’s more positive and bubbly personality does add a lot more vibrancy to the Fullbringers as a unit and is part of the reason why she’s become such a fan favorite. Though there are glimpses of a more troubled young girl underneath, Riruka can still often be seen as a fun, outgoing, and highly extroverted enemy-turned-ally of Ichigo’s.

When Nel takes the form of a child, it kind of makes sense why she comes across as so sociable and carefree considering her young age. While it might be easy to assume that Nel would become a little more mellow and introverted as she evolves into her adult form, this actually isn’t the case. Instead, she still retains her child-like optimism and personality which makes her a lot of fun to see on screen, though maybe not as fun for Ichigo, who she will often try hugging to death.
