Coral Island is a fun and light-hearted farming RPG where players move to a tropical island with the hope of starting a new life, away from the city. Tools are the ultimate best friend in a farm sim like Coral Island. They are necessary to build a village, tend the animals, and grow crops. Players can carry these tools for island work or store them in the inventory. However, with each level, the players need better tools for more productivity.

With just a few tools in hand, the new islander needs to start chopping down trees and remove all stumps and rocks. Upgrading tools is important for making progress in Coral Island, as better-quality tools consume less energy and are overall more efficient. Players start the game with six basic tools, namely a Hoe, Axe, Pickaxe, Scythe, Fishing Pole, and Watering Can. They can upgrade these tools to higher tiers and improve their farming experience.

Players who wish to enhance their tools need to visit the Sanchez Brothers Blacksmith store after gathering some resources. The shop is open from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday. It also remains open on Saturdays from 9 AM to 2 PM. The owners of the store, Rafael and Pablo, can help players easily upgrade their tools in Coral Island. Here are the steps for upgrading tools in the game.

Get a Furnace

The first step is to get a Furnace. It is used for manufacturing metal bars. For instance, if a player uses one coal and five Bronze Ores, they will get one Bronze Bar, which is essential for upgrading the tools.

Take a Trip to Sanchez Brothers Blacksmith

After getting the Bronze Bar, it’s time to take a trip to Sanchez Brothers Blacksmith. It’s run by Rafael and Pablo. This building is near Woodlands, north of the central area of Starlet Town. Once the player reaches the building, they have to tap on “Upgrade Tools” from the menu. As a result, a window will open with all the tools a player has in his/her inventory.

The player has to choose the tool that they need to upgrade and pay the money and ores (upgrading is expensive). Once players have provided the Blacksmiths with all necessary requirements, it can take them anywhere between 1 and 4 full in-game days to enhance the tools, depending on which upgrade players are processing.

After the required number of days have passed, players should visit the Blacksmith again to pick up their newly upgraded tool. Remember that the players need at least 2,000 coins and a few Bronze Bars and Wood to complete the upgrade. For every tool, the requirements are different, such as.

To acquire a bronze-level Axe, players require the Axe itself, five Bronze Bars, 2,000 gold coins, and 20 Wood, taking one day. In contrast, obtaining a silver-level Axe requires 5,000 gold coins, 20 Wood, five Silver Bars, and two days.

To obtain a bronze-level Hoe, players require a Hoe, 2,000 gold coins, five Bronze Bars, and 20 Wood for one day. On the other hand, to acquire a silver-level Hoe, players need a Bronze Hoe, 5,000 gold coins, five Silver Bars, 20 Wood, and two days.

To acquire a bronze-level Pickaxe, players will require a Pickaxe, 2,000 gold coins, five Bronze Bars, and 20 Wood, which takes a day. For a silver-level Pickaxe, a player needs a Bronze Pickaxe, 5,000 gold coins, five Silver Bars, 20 Wood, and two days.

To upgrade their Scythe to the bronze tier, players need the regular scythe, 1,500 gold coins, 5 bronze bars, and 20 Wood. This upgrade takes one day to process. Whereas, for the silver tier upgrade, players require a bronze scythe, 3,000 gold coins, 5 silver bars, 20 Wood, and two days.

For a bronze-level watering can, players require the basic watering can, 1,500 gold coins, and 5 bronze bars. It takes one day to upgrade. On the other hand, for the silver-level watering can, players need the bronze watering can, 3,000 gold coins, and 5 silver bars. This upgrade takes 2 days to process.

All tools in Coral Island can be upgraded to four tiers – namely Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Osmium. Each tool upgrade costs a significant amount of money, with Osmium upgrades being the most expensive. The Sanchez brothers also need different materials and resources to upgrade the tools.

Players should keep in mind that the shop is closed on Sundays, so if they drop the tool for an upgrade on Saturday, they will need to wait until Monday to retrieve it.
