Dead by Daylight is making changes to how DLC is purchased, consolidating various expansions into one bundle in order to make purchasing through first-party stores easier. The upcoming Endless Hunt DLC pack will include a variety of content in one purchase, streamlining the process for Dead by Daylight players.
Since its release back in 2016, Dead by Daylight has stayed on top of the asymmetrical horror genre. One of the biggest reasons the multiplayer title has continued to keep its status in the genre is due to Dead by Daylight‘s interesting crossovers. Developer Behaviour Interactive has managed to get licensing for many high profile horror icons, like Scream‘s Ghostface and the Xenomorph from Alien. Not only has Dead by Daylight brought some great licensed crossovers to the game, but the title also has plenty of original content included in additional DLC expansions.
What an Outlast Chapter For Dead by Daylight Could Look Like
Dead by Daylight hasn’t been afraid to cross over with fellow horror gaming franchises, and Outlast would make for a perfect future DLC Chapter.
On May 14, Dead by Daylight will be releasing the Endless Hunt DLC. The expansion pack includes a variety of original Killers and Survivors along with some original Chapters, as well. Although the game has become well known for its licensed crossovers, Dead by Daylight also boasts some great original characters.
Dead by Daylight’s Endless Hunt DLC
- 4 Chapter DLCs
- 4 Original Killers
- 5 Original Survivors
The Endless Hunt DLC not only includes four original Chapters and various characters, but it also features nine outfits and six exclusive items. Consolidating DLC content into one bundle helps clear up first-party storefronts, as it can sometimes get overwhelming when searching for these expansions on the PlayStation, Microsoft, or Nintendo eShop stores. The launch of Endless Hunt will make the individual characters included in the DLC unavailable to purchase solo through first-party stores. However, they can still be bought through Dead by Daylight‘s in-game store with a permanent price reduction. Dead by Daylight has been making a lot of changes recently, and this one will be helpful for many players.
This new consolidation approach will not include licensed DLC content, meaning licensed characters will still be available individually through first-party shops.
This update to Dead by Daylight‘s approach to future content is a great way to solve the issue of first-party stores being overwhelmed with content. Dead by Daylight has a lot of plans for 2024, and these recent changes have improved the game efficiently. As the year continues, it will be exciting to see what content will be included in future DLC. Dead by Daylight is jam-packed with content, and it’s great that the task of purchasing it is being made easier.
