The Belisarius-D is a hard-hitting Pulse Rifle introduced in Destiny 2 Season of the Wish. It replaces the Mercurial Overreach as the main reward of the Crucible’s Competitive playlist, and it offers a completely different flavor of Pulse Rifle compared to meta picks like the Messenger, Disparity, or Phyllotactic Spiral.

Some of Destiny 2’s Most Popular Armor Sets Are Coming Back, But There’s a Catch

Destiny 2’s Season of the Wish is marking the return of multiple beloved armor sets, but for some of them there’s a big catch.

Players who like sticking to those mid-long-ranged sightlines in Destiny 2’s Crucible have a lot to look forward to with the Belisarius-D. It has its own set of strengths and weaknesses, and its bespoke pool of perks gives it a ton of options for players who are looking for something to use in PvP and PvE. Here’s how to get this gun as well as some potential god rolls to chase after.

Destiny 2 Belisariud-D God Rolls and Acquisition

A PvP god roll for the Belisarius-D in Destiny 2

To get a Belisarius-D, players need to complete seven Competitive Crucible games. After the seventh match, they’ll get their first Belisarius-D. After this, they’ll be able to get more copies of the gun by playing at least three Competitive matches on their character per week. Players don’t need to win in order to get the gun, and they can get up to three copies per week if they have a full list of characters.

PvE God Roll

While the Belisarius-D is mainly designed to be a PvP weapon, it can be used in PvE to a certain degree. It’ll work particularly well with Strand builds, especially if it rolls with both Slice and Hatchling. Both of these perks can trigger Aspects and Fragments — Thread of Evolution, for example, can increase Hatchling’s damage. Meanwhile, the new perk Slice gives players a new way to apply the Sever debuff, which reduces the damage output of affected targets by 30% (15% in PvP).

The rest of the gun’s perks are catered towards improving its consistency in the Crucible. They’ll still work against normal combatants, but there are many other weapons that will outperform the Belisarius-D in PvE significantly.

PvP God Rolls

When it comes to PvP, the Belisarius-D has a lot of options. Almost every perk combo here is strong against other Guardians. When farming for a Belisarius-D in Competitive Crucible, consider the following combos:

  • Eye of the Storm/Moving Target
  • Rapid Hit/Zen Moment
  • Keep Away/Kill Clip
  • Rapid Hit/Headseeker

Headseeker in particular is a top-tier perk for Pulse Rifles since it helps keep outgoing damage consistent. If players land a body shot during their first burst, their next burst will have increased Precision damage. Expect more two-burst kills when this perk is present.

Rapid Hit is also very valuable for a Pulse Rifle like the Belisarius-D. This gun can quickly stack the perk up, leading to a bonus 18 Stability and significantly improved reload times if all four shots in the burst hit an opponent’s head.

The Belisarius-D also comes with stock options in its fifth column. Here, players should ideally farm for a version of this weapon with either Short-Action Stock or Hand-Laid Stock, with the former boosting Handling while the latter improves Stability. All stock options are decent, though these ones tend to be more valuable, especially for players who want to min-max their weapon stats.
