Key Takeaways

  • Destiny 2 players love creating unique Guardian fashion, like Scarlet Spider.
  • Many players take time to customize their Guardians to look exactly as desired.

A Destiny 2 player online has shared their incredible piece of Guardian fashion, after transforming their Hunter into the Scarlet Spider from the Spider-Man series. There’s certainly no shortage of Spider-Man fan recreations in Destiny 2, so it’s cool to see Ben Reilly represented rather than the usual Peter Parker.

Guardian fashion has developed as a really interesting subculture in Destiny 2 over the last few years. Character customization is nothing new, but many Destiny 2 players take their time to ensure their Guardians look exactly the way they want them to. Some players try to make the coolest-looking character possible, while others try to recreate their favorites from other franchises. For example, one Destiny 2 player recently turned their Titan into Optimus Prime, showcasing the variety of characters that are possible to create in the game.

Redditor iixVanquishxX shared their impressive piece of Destiny 2 fashion with the game’s online community, and it’s remarkable just how close the user has come to perfectly recreating the Scarlet Spider. Everything from the eyes to the sleeveless blue hoodie has been brought to life accurately, and it’s immediately apparent who it’s meant to depict. One user in the thread pointed out that this creation makes great use of Destiny 2‘s Veteran Legend armor set, namely the helmet, which was recently released as part of Bungie’s celebrations for the series’ 10th anniversary.

Destiny 2 Player Recreates The Scarlet Spider

Luckily, iixVanquishxX also included all of the armor pieces that were used to turn their Hunter into the Scarlet Spider in Destiny 2, which are as follows: Veteran Legend Casque, The Wrong Hands, Streetwise Vest, Road Complex AA1, and Refugee Cloak. They didn’t stop there, either, sharing all of the Destiny 2 ornaments that were applied to give the Scarlet Spider their iconic colors. That way, anyone who wants to use Ben Reilly for themselves in Destiny 2 can do so with ease.

It will be interesting to see how Bungie handles the Destiny franchise going forward. Layoffs a short time ago at the studio had many speculating about the series’ future, especially considering there hasn’t been a new title since 2017. It was recently reported that a rumored Destiny mobile game is allegedly still in development, although Bungie has yet to comment about whether a new mainline title is on the way. Destiny 2 maintains a solid community, but it’s understandable that some fans want a fresh slate to play with.
