After meeting the dwarves of Kal-Sharok in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Harding discovers that many of them have gone missing, including Stalgard. You’ll need to visit the Heart of the Titan to rescue them, and to confront the dark force that’s hounded Harding since she gained her stone powers.
Compared to other companions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you can complete Harding’s story early. The quest “The Heart of the Titan” becomes available after “Fire and Ice,” and you can complete it before the story quest “Unwanted Guests.” To begin it, you’ll need to select Isana Negat from the world map.

Where to Find Every Collectible in Isana Negat
The abandoned mines of Isana Negat are long and winding, and there are more than a few chests, Mementos, and runes to find along the way.
- The first items to grab are to your left as you begin the quest. There’s a small chest in the back-left corner, one in the cage on the far wall, and one under the shelves on the right wall.
- After speaking to Harding, descend the stairs and go through the open door. There’s a Memento on a bench to the right.
- Open the door straight ahead and go over to the elevator shaft. The elevator doesn’t work, but there’s a small chest in front of it.
- Head down to the caved-in mine shaft to spot a pair of stone blocks Harding can move. The path leads to a fight with the undead, and then another stone block. Behind it is a trapped dwarf, and to the right of the dwarf is a large chest.
- Climb the ledge behind the dwarf and go down the ladder, then move another pair of stone blocks to proceed. The next area is the Ancient Mining Operation, and it holds a lot of items.
- Keep going west until you spot a ladder with a breakable lock. Break it, climb the ladder, then smash through the crates to your left. To your right is a small chest.
- Climb the ledges along the north wall, then jump down to the ledge with the balance beam. Go through the crawlspace on the far side, then turn left to find a Timelost Hoard chest.
- Go right instead to pick up a Memento and a small chest.
- Climb the ledges north of the Memento to reach a large chest.
- Head back to the ladder and the ledges on the north wall. Jump across the platforms to your right to continue through the area.
- Look for a chest after defeating the Sadistic Envy Demon to get a rune.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard – The Demon’s Bargain Walkthrough
Bellara experiences an unexpected revelation during this quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
- After freeing the second dwarf and opening the way forward, you’ll fight a mixed group of demons and undead. You’ll need to use Stone Song to create a platform that leads up. Be sure to pick up the crystal in front of the blue lyrium, because it holds a legendary material.
- Get past the crawlspace, then break some wooden boards to the left to reveal a second crawlspace. Descend the ladder, then take the tunnel to the left of the pit to open a small chest.
- Use Stone Song on a stone block in the pit to move it just close enough to jump to. Follow the path to reach a large chest, plus a zipline you can activate that takes you back to the start of the Lyrium Cavern. If you want to keep going, jump off the left side of the platform. The third trapped dwarf is past the first crawlspace.
- As you enter a new part of the Lyrium Cavern where two demons attack, there’s a small chest to your left.
- Cross the bridge past the chest and turn left to find a large chest, a small chest, and Stalgard’s last warning.
- The stone blocks past Stalgard’s warning are a point of no return. When you’re ready to continue, you can descend into a fight with a Bursting Rage Demon. It drops another rune when you defeat it.

Emmrich is looking for a rogue necromancer in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and he finds more than he bargained for.
How to Beat Wrath of the Stone
After you free Stalgard, continue down the path behind him to eventually reach the titular Heart of the Titan. The dark force will reveal itself, but while Harding battles her personal demons, you and your other companion will have to fight a boss without her.
The fight starts with a set of three undead mages and two warriors. Finish them off, and the boss Wrath of the Stone will drop in. This boss shares a name with the boss of “The Waiting Stone,” but this version is much more dangerous.
- Wrath is vulnerable to necrotic damage, resistant to electricity, and has the trait Fire Imbued. This means fire attacks deal less damage to it, and its attacks can cause Burning damage.
- Wrath’s main attack hits a cone in front of it, and three lines of red lyrium explode along the sides and center of the cone.
- Wrath can create a nova around itself, and also create a large pattern of explosions across the battlefield.
- Wrath can leap and smash the ground, creating four lines of explosions radiating from the landing site.
While you were better off staying close to the first Wrath of the Stone boss, you’ll want to keep your distance from this one. The secondary explosions all happen at close to the same time, but each one is further apart when you’re standing far away from Wrath. The boss also has no minions backing it up, so this fight becomes much easier if you tell a warrior like Davrin or Taash to taunt it.

Should Harding Choose Compassion or Anger?
After you defeat Wrath of the Stone, you’ll have to make an important decision for Harding: should she remember her compassionate self, or embrace the anger she feels on behalf of the Titans? This choice doesn’t have a major impact on her personality, but it does lead to a few significant changes.
Compassion
- Harding gets the legendary armor Inquisition Spotter. While she’s in the active party and wearing this armor, detonations are more likely to disrupt targets (stop them from completing an attack), along with all enemies close to the target.
- She gets the Veilguard skill Heart of the Titan. Her Soothing Potion skill has a 15 percent faster cooldown, and her detonations deal 25 percent more damage.
- Harding is willing to forgive Solas for his role in the war between the Evanuris and the Titans.
Anger
- Harding gets the legendary armor Titan’s Vengeance. Her detonations apply Bleeding, and deal 25 percent more damage to targets that are already Bleeding.
- She gets the Veilguard skill The Stone’s Vengeance. Her regular attacks are sometimes Titan Stones instead, which deal 20 percent more damage and apply Bleeding.
- Harding is less willing to forgive Solas.
You don’t get any faction strength for completing this quest, but you do get 2,500 XP for beating Wrath of the Stone and one last large chest you can open before leaving Isana Negat. And regardless of which emotion you choose, Harding’s conservatory fills to the brim with plants and glowing butterflies after you complete her quest.
