Future Saga, a newly announced four-part expansion for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, has just received a trailer. The popular fighting game was developed by Japanese studio Dimps, while media giant Bandai Namco Entertainment handled publishing.

A long list of paid DLC options have been released for the well received Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 ever since the title was launched in late 2016. These expansion packs provided additional playable characters, missions, costumes, and even soundtracks, among other things. For 2024, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will get a new DLC that will offer an expanded storyline.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2‘s newly announced Future Saga expansion has received a trailer, with the initial chapter of the four-part arc set to be released in the spring of 2024, according to the game’s latest roadmap. The demon scientist Fu will play a key role in Future Saga, which was announced nearly a month after Dragon Ball series creator Akira Toriyama died. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 players paid tribute to the legendary author by gathering online and using the title’s Spirit Bomb emote.


The first part of Future Saga will add a new scenario, several characters, and much more. New variants of Goku Black and Vegeta have been confirmed to be among the new fighters, the former of whom can go Super Saiyan Rose and Ultra Supervillain, while the latter can use the Super Saiyan God and Ultra Supervillain modes. The versions of Goku Black and Vegeta that are already in the game can wield what are considered to be some of the best Super Souls in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.


Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Future Saga DLC Chapter 1 Release Date


Bandai Namco Entertainment previously confirmed that there will be native releases of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on current generation consoles, namely Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X/S machines. Players will be able to transfer their PS4 or Xbox One saves to newer systems when the upgraded versions launch on May 24, 2024. Many fans were happy with the current generation upgrades, while others claimed that maybe it was already time for a Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 to be released.

It was revealed in May 2023 that both Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 had already sold 10 million units worldwide at the time. Like Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Dragon Ball FighterZ is a Bandai Namco Entertainment-published fighting game set in the universe of Toriyama’s beloved media series. Dragon Ball FighterZ, however, was developed by Arc System Works, the legendary Japanese studio behind the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue franchises.
