Dragon Quest 3 Remake: How to Wake up the Town of Norvik

In the first opening hours of Dragon Quest 3 Remake, you’ll eventually make your way to Khoryv. If you head to the area north and west of the quaint town, you might encounter Norvik, a village full of sleeping citizens. Waking up the townspeople requires going to a different village and a treacherous dungeon. If you want to know how to wake the people of Norvik and get the Dreamstone, keep reading.

Dragon Quest 3: Entering Norvik

If you walk around the town for a bit, you’ll notice that you won’t be able to use the local facilities, like the Inn, until the townsfolk are awake. However, one person in the town happens to be awake —head into the home in the southwest corner of the village and go upstairs to find an old man.

The old man speaks of a village of fairies to the west of Norvik that might know about an item called a Dreamstone. This item will need to be found and returned to the fairy village for the people of Norvik to wake up.

Dragon Quest 3: Finding Faerie Village

Leave Norvik and head west to find a big tree in the middle of a forest. This is the “hidden” Faerie Village the old man spoke of. Walk in and head inside the main ‘home’ north of the entrance. You’ll find the Queen, who wants you to go after her daughter to find the Dreamstone she took from her mother. The queen is apparently not a fan of humans, and her daughter ran away to be with a human man, so you can imagine how upset she is.

Dragon Quest 3: Where is the Dreamstone? Luckily, the location of the Dreamstone is not that far away from the fairy village. Just walk southwest, and you’ll easily see the entrance of a dungeon called the Underground Lake. You’ll need to reach the end of the dungeon to find the Dreamstone, which will then need to be returned to the fairy Queen.

If you want to find a bunch of treasure, it’s recommended to explore every nook and cranny of the Underground Lake, but if you want the quickest route to get through, check out the steps below:

• On Floor B1, go through the green exit in the bottom-left corner(if you’re looking at the map screen).
• On Floor B2, use the altar to heal your party. Head through the green exit on the southwestern end of the map.
• On Floor B3, head through the southernmost exit.
• On Floor B4, continue the path to the Dreamstone.
• You can use a spell like Zoom or a Chimera Wing to fast travel back to the Faerie Village.
• The Queen will take the Dreamstone and will give you Wakey Dust in exchange.
• Now, you just need to return to Norvik.
• As soon as you arrive, the game will prompt you to use the Wakey Dust to wake up the townsfolk.
• The quest has now been completed, and the Dragon Quest 3 party can use the town’s facilities.
