Dragon’s Dogma 2: Weapons That Are Not Worth Enhancing
Dragon’s Dogma 2 features a vast array of weapons that you can upgrade. However, these items are best left alone to save resources.
Drakes are a deadly foe in Dragon’s Dogma 2 that players are likely to fight multiple times during their adventure. These drakes naturally breathe fire at the player, which can quickly down themselves or their pawns if they don’t have the right protection. With this in mind, these pieces of armor are by far the best for players looking for fire damage resistance.
8 Orphic Robe
Made To Be Resistant
- Purchased from the Volcanic Island Armory or Brokkr’s Smithy.
Starting off strong, the Sorcerer vocation has a variety of armors – or robes – that make it highly defensive against different magic, including elemental damage. This not only includes fire resistance but also an ice one for this endgame robe.
Players are sure to want to use this robe as a sorcerer, as nearing the end of the game also means players are likely to be encountering even more drakes, or the dragon himself that has plenty of fire in store for them.

Unlike the other armor players are likely to find during their exploration of Dragon’s Dogma 2, this armor can only be purchased during the endgame and must be bought with Wyrmslife Crystals.
These are only dropped by drakes, which makes getting the Vashara Scaleskin a perfect investment for getting more crystals, as well as resting the burning better.

Sorcerers continue to have some of the best armor for fire resistance, as players even steal clothes from lichs in the endgame to find the perfect piece of armor to keep them safe.
The Cardinal Robe not only protects a player from the flames but also makes sure that they are less likely to be silenced by opponents’ spells as well. Allowing any sorcerer to continue to function while taking on the challenging drakes of Dragon’s Dogma 2.

3 Gauntleted Petticoat
The Most Amount Of Resistance For The Least Amount Of Cloth
- It can be punched from Ines in Harve Village or Checkpoint Rest Town. It can also be located in Darkhorde Cave.
Players are likely to first think of purchasing the Gauntleted Petticoat due to the style of it. However, after purchasing this armor, which is favored for its elegant design, players may realize that it is one of the best sets for either Fighters or Magick Archers, who are looking for armor that perfectly defends them against fire damage.

1 Immaculate Blaze
The Best Fire Resistance Of All
- Found in a chest in the Digger’s Ruins
Out of all the available armor in Dragon’s Dogma 2, by far the best for fire damage resistance has to be for the thief vocation. This armor cannot be purchased from any merchant in the game but is instead found in a chest in the Digger’s Ruins.
This armor already has a decent amount of regular defense to physical damage that is only made better by its 30% resistance to fire damage. Making it one of the most fire-resistant pieces of armor in the game. While it may only be worn by thieves or Warfarers, it is still a great piece for the Arisen or their pawn.
