How to Defeat Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater

Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater, being an invader NPC, will spawn only at particular locations. The first interaction of players with Anastasia will take place in front of the Smoldering Church, which is located at the North of Limgrave. As soon as players try to enter the Church, Anastasia will appear. The other places where players can find Anastasia are Consecrated Snowfields and Corpse Stench Shack at Mt. Gelmir.

The first thing that players should do to defeat Anastasia is to take their time and watch her signature attack patterns. That’s all she has got, and there won’t be anything fancy in her arsenal. However, if her attacks connect, she can deal heavy damage.

One of Anastasia’s attacks includes the back and forth swinging of her weapon, which ultimately ends in the final attack. To survive this attack, players should wait for the sequence to end and then attack her.

When Anastasia is carrying her sword in a horizontal position and coming forward, she will soon use two hands to smash it down. What players need to do here is dodge backward at first and then jump in the air. As soon as Anastasia’s blade touches the ground, launch an attack on her from the top.
