Elden Ring, despite having an enormous amount of weapons, still manages to make every one of them stick out from the rest. Bows in Elden Ring have a unique playstyle of their own. It is true that most Bows and Greatbows are not the best options for bosses, but with a fully functional build, players can do wonders with them.
The Erdtree Greatbow is accessible early in the game, and can do a ton of damage thanks to its three-way stat scaling. The Arrow’s Sting, along with the Shard of Alexander, are both great Talismans that increase the overall damage of the arrows as well as the damage from Skills. Using a bow, can be tricky, but if a player constantly lands headshots with this Greatbow, they can deal serious damage to enemies.
Elden Ring Fans Think They Know the Location of Shadow of the Erdtree DLC
An Elden Ring player believes that they know the location of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, sparking more speculation among fans.
Where To Find the Erdtree Greatbow
The Standard Graveyard in Limgrave is one of the first Sites of Grace that you will come across in the game. Just beside the Grace is a Stonesword Statue that requires a Stonesword Key to open the fog gate. Stonesword Keys are difficult to acquire early in the game, but you can always return to this location once you have one. Upon using the Key, go down the ladder and across the Poison floor to reach the Fringefolk Hero’s Grave. There is a Chariot here that can take out your entire health in a single hit, so avoid contact with it.
Once the Chariot goes, head to the first opening on the right and stay there until the Chariot circles back and goes down. Do this two more times until you reach the third opening on the right. There is an enemy here, so be careful when entering the opening. From here, roll down and proceed down until you reach a straight path where you can jump either left or right.
Drop down from the right path and head back through the doorway, where you will find two Imps waiting to ambush you. Deal with them and proceed downstairs into the long passageway. Be careful, as there is a trap that constantly sprays a stream of fire. Wait for the stream to stop and head to the opening on the right. Then, wait out the fire again before finally moving to the trap.
Hitting the trap once will deactivate it. Move forward, and you will come across a narrow path where you can fall down either the right or the left side. Head to the left side, then drop down twice. Turn around to see a doorway with stairs that lead to the elevator.
Ride the elevator to the top and head up another set of stairs. Here, on the left, you will find a Banished Knight waiting for you. Deal with it and proceed to the last step. Here, you will spot the Chariot going up and down, and above it, three pots hanging from the ceiling. Use a Bow to shoot down the pot with your arrows, which will fall down on the Chariot, destroying it and giving you the Erdtree Greatbow as a reward. Below is the video that shows exactly how to acquire the Erdtree Greatbow.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree – The Importance of Messmer’s Snake Explained
Shadow of the Erdtree’s Messmer has similarities to several previous demigods of Elden Ring, but his connection to snakes hints at a dark origin.
What Does The Erdtree Greatbow Do?
To wield the Erdtree Greatbow, the user must have the following minimum stats:
- 20 Strength
- 14 Dexterity
- 14 Faith
When using the Erdtree Greatbow, all damage from arrows is scaled with Faith. This is the weapon’s passive skill. This means using Holy-Infused arrows will result in the highest damage. Its Weapon Skill, like most Greatbows, is Through and Through. This stance allows the player to release a mighty shot capable of piercing through enemies.
The weapon requires Somber Smithing Stones to upgrade. At max level, it has a D scaling in Strength, Dexterity, and Faith. Faith should be your first priority when upgrading Stats because of the increase in elemental damage. Strength should be the next Stat priority, and try not to go over soft caps before upgrading the other Stats.
