Elden Ring has no shortage of weapons, armor, incantations, and spells for players to enjoy and try in their endless quest to defeat the hardest bosses in both the base game and the DLC. Soulsborne games have always had this distinguishing factor, giving players a nearly endless world of possibilities when it comes to building their characters and boosting their stats.

Elden Ring Shadow of The Erdtree: Best New Curved Swords, Ranked

Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC brings in a few new Curved Swords for players to collect. Here are the strongest ones worth building around.

As would be expected, however, not every item available in the game can be easily obtained. In fact, several of them can be easily missed or require a ton of farming and dedication. Here are 6 rare items that are easy to miss in Elden Ring.

6 Mausoleum Knight Armor

A Great Armor Set That Requires Dedicated Farming

Elden Ring - Mausoleum Knight Armor

How To Get

Obtained by farming Mausoleum Knights

Damage Negation

Physical (22.7), Strike (19.4), Slash (24.5), Pierce (21.9)

Weight

23

The Mausoleum Knight Armor Set is the ideal option to kick off this list, as it is a very rare drop from specific enemies, and it’s really easy to miss it if players aren’t careful. This set consists of three pieces of armor; the chest piece, the gauntlets, and the greaves. Given that Mausoleum Knights don’t have a head, this armor set is one of the few that do not have a helmet.

Although Mausoleum Knights aren’t too challenging if players are in the mid to late stages of the game, the armor pieces are a rare drop, which means that obtaining them will require several attempts and trips to the nearest Site of Grace. Luckily, as opposed to other items on this list, this armor set isn’t tied to any questlines, so players can technically get it at any point during their playthrough. It should be noted that this armor set can be altered to remove the cape for a cleaner look.

5 Monk’s Flameblade

A Curved Greatsword With Decent Scaling

Elden Ring Monk's Flameblade

How To Get

Dropped by a Monk within the Giant-Conquering Hero’s Grave in Mountaintops of the Giants

Damage Type

Physical (134), Critical (100)

Scaling

Strength (D), Dexterity (D)

Requirements

Strength (18), Dexterity (18)

Weight

9.0

Curved Greatswords are arguably one of the most interesting and coolest-looking weapon types in Soulsborne games, and the Monk’s Flameblade isn’t an exception. This weapon scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is quite lightweight when compared to other Greatswords in its category. It has a Special Skill called, “Spinning Slash” that has wide coverage, as it performs a sweeping 360-degree attack, ideal for scenarios where the Tarnished is surrounded by enemies.

Elden Ring Shadow of The Erdtree: Best New Curved Swords, Ranked

Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC brings in a few new Curved Swords for players to collect. Here are the strongest ones worth building around.

Similar to the Mausoleum Knight’s Armor Set and other items on this list, the Monk’s Flameblade requires arduous farming, and in this particular case, only from a single enemy in one location. This Curved Greatsword can be obtained inside the Giant-Conquering Hero’s Grave on the Mountaintops of the Giants. There, players will find a Fire Monk next to a flame trap—killing him repeatedly is the only way to get this massive weapon. Farming this weapon will take a lot of patience, as the base drop rate is around 4%.

4 Millicent’s Prosthesis

Ideal For Successive Attacks And Dexterity Builds

Elden Ring - Millicent's Prosthesis Talisman Guide

How To Get

Given to players by Millicent at the Windmill Heights Site of Grace after defeating the Godskin Apostle in the area

Notable Effects

Increases Dexterity by 5, Raises attack power with successive attacks (4%, 6%, 11%).

Weight

1.6

Few NPCs are as interesting and complex as Millicent. Not only is her questline quite fun to complete, but her rewards are also well worth the effort. The Millicent’s Prosthesis Talisman is great for Dexterity Builds, as it raises this Stat by 5 and also increases damage with successive hits. Players using builds reliant on dual scimitars or any other curved sword or double-bladed weapon can greatly benefit from using this talisman.

Millicent’s Prosthesis is a rare item that can be easily missed in Elden Ring, as it’s tied to Millicent’s questline. If players deviate from said questline even a little or progress too much into the story without interacting with Millicent again, the talisman will be locked until NG+. There are several other rewards obtained from Millicent’s questline, such as the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, which is just as rare and can also be easily overlooked.

3 Magma Blade

Good Fire Damage From Volcano Manor

Elden Ring Magma Blade

How To Get

Dropped randomly by Man-Serpents wielding them at Volcano Manor

Damage Type

Physical (96), Fire (62), Critical (100)

Scaling

Strength (D), Dexterity (D), Faith (D)

Requirements

Strength (9), Dexterity (15), Faith (16)

Weight

4.0

Volcano Manor is one of the most controversial areas in Elden Ring. While some players hate the area with passion, others rather enjoy it and the challenges it poses. Whatever the case, one thing that’s universally agreed upon is that the Man-Serpents that dwell on the rooftops of the magma-surrounded buildings are very annoying. Luckily, though, there’s a potential reward for fighting these enemies as opposed to ignoring them and running past them—the Magma Blade.

This weapon doesn’t deal the most Physical damage, and the Fire damage it deals, while good, isn’t extraordinary. That said, it still holds up very well as a weapon with Elemental damage, despite its short range. To get the Magma Blade, players will have to look for the Man-Serpents wielding it and defeat them repeatedly until one of them drops it. While it can’t be infused with Ashes of War, the weapon can be upgraded with Somber Smithing Stones and has a great Special Skill called, “Magma Shower”.

2 Noble’s Slender Sword

Decent Physical Damage And Dexterity Scaling

How To Get

Dropped randomly by wandering nobles around Limgrave

Damage Type

Physical (101), Critical (110)

Scaling

Strength (E), Dexterity (C)

Requirements

Strength (8), Dexterity (11)

Weight

3.5

Players who’ve traversed the Lands Between for a while will most likely have already fought the poor NPCs known as Wandering Nobles. These frail creatures roam Limgrave aimlessly, with dull minds and a purpose that, while once clear, is now long forgotten. Wandering Nobles aren’t a challenge in any sense of the word—even during the earlier stages of the game, players are more likely to struggle with any other enemy.

Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree: Best New Straight Swords, Ranked

Straight Sword fans received a few new additions with Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. But how do these new arrivals rank up in terms of efficiency?

However, as weak as they may be, Wandering Nobles carry an interesting one-handed sword known as the Noble’s Slender Sword, which not only has a decent Critical Damage Boost but is also a rare item that’s easy to miss in Elden Ring. For starters, the weapon has a low drop rate, but ironically, what makes it so easy to miss is that no one bothers to kill Wandering Nobles; in fact, most players just ignore them as they ride Torrent. All in all, the Noble’s Slender Sword isn’t by any means outstanding, but for completionists looking to get every weapon in the game, patience will be a must.

1 Halo Scythe

Long Range, Holy Damage, And Passive Bleed Buildup

The Halo Scythe in Elden Ring

How To Get

Dropped randomly by Scythe-wielding Lesser Cleanrot Knights south of the Heart of Aeonia (near commander O’Neil)

Damage Type

Physical (118), Holy (76), Critical (100)

Scaling

Strength (D), Dexterity (D), Faith (E)

Requirements

Strength (13), Dexterity (16), Faith (15)

Weight

8.5

Scythes are probably the least-used weapon type in Soulsborne games. Perhaps it’s because they have unconventional movesets, or maybe because players are simply more used to swinging swords and casting spells. Whatever the case, it’s undeniable that the Halo Scythe is a great weapon that requires tons of farming and can be very easily missed during a playthrough.

Scaling primarily with Strength and Dexterity, and secondarily with Faith, this long-range bladed weapon deals a decent amount of Physical damage and a fair amount of Holy damage. Its Special Skill, “Miquella’s Ring of Light”, is great for long-distance combat, and, with a formidable passive Bleed buildup stat, there are plenty of opportunities for players looking to wield this scythe. To obtain it, players will have to find Lesser Cleanrot Knights south of the Heart of Aeonia who are wielding this weapon. As a reference, these knights are close to Commander O’Neil’s location in the same area.
