Updated July 8, 2024 by Christopher Norman Worcester: Shadow of the Erdtree has seen incredible success since its launch, with players around the world returning to the Lands Between. With this in mind, it’s important that we ensure our most popular SotE guides remain up-to-date, and provide players with the best possible information. This update will ensure players have access to one of the most important tools in the Elden Ring DLC, Spelldrake Talisman +3.
The Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has brought with it a wide range of new items and equipment for players to utilize in the Land of Shadow. While the weapons and armor sets get marquee billing, players will find great utility in the expansion’s several new talismans. Many of Shadow of the Erdtree’s talismans are completely new creations, adding brand-new boons into the mix. However, others build upon the defensive talismans that were included in the base game. This guide will focus on finding one such item: Shadow of the Erdtree’s Spelldrake Talisman +3 .

Spelldrake Talisman +3 Effects & Tips
Talisman with a large depiction of a blue ancient dragon. Boosts magic damage negation by the utmost.
The Spelldrake Talisman +3 is a new Talisman in Shadow of the Erdtree that boosts magic damage negation by the highest possible amount. The Spelldrake Talisman +3’s weight is 0.3. SotE’s Spelldrake Talisman 3 is incredibly useful against magic-wielding enemies, such as Rellana . Magic is an extremely dangerous damage type in Elden Ring, one which very few builds have a natural defense against. Because of this, all builds should consider using this when facing magic-based enemies. Players should note that Spelldrake Talisman 3 provides the best possible magic-damage negation in Shadow of the Erdtree.
The Spelldrake Talisman +3 is also very helpful in the Elden Ring base game as well, helping against some of the toughest magic-based bosses. Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon and Royal Knight Loretta are just two of the bosses that this Talisman will help with.
Unfortunately, the Spelldrake Talsiman +3 – like all other damage-specific talismans – does not stack with its lesser variants. You may only equip one Spelldrake talisman at a time.
