After years of growing pains, Cyberpunk 2077 has cemented itself as one of the great modern RPGs, and that was taken even further with its first and only DLC. Phantom Liberty felt like more than just a DLC. The expansion added a thrilling new chapter that had several outcomes that could affect the overall story of the game.

Now that the excitement of Phantom Liberty has started to melt away, many players’ sights are set on Cyberpunk 2077‘s in-development sequel, Project Orion. Unfortunately, it will likely be several years until Project Orion sees the light of day. Although this seems like bad news at first, since Phantom Liberty is a lone DLC, there is still plenty to explore in Cyberpunk 2077. The dense metropolis of Night City is filled with plenty of secrets, and CD Projekt Red has even confirmed that some have yet to be uncovered.

CD Projekt Red Claims There Are Still Undiscovered Easter Eggs in Cyberpunk 2077

More to Explore in Night City

Despite the game being four years old and there being no plans for another DLC, Cyberpunk 2077 still has some secrets for players to find. The game has tons of Easter eggs in general, but CD Projekt Red confirmed this year that there are still a variety of Easter eggs that players haven’t come across. Of course, the developer kept tight-lipped about the details of these hidden gems, but it was at least confirmed that there are still undiscovered phone numbers in Phantom Liberty.

Night City is a densely populated place. The lively realism of the dystopian city makes it a wonderfully immersive map, and the many Easter eggs further illustrate CD Projekt Red’s fun world-building. Players can spend hours with Cyberpunk 2077 before they find specific Easter eggs, and the fact there are still some that remain hidden is fascinating. From Ghost in the Shell to The Matrix, Night City has plenty of fun nods to other popular titles in pop culture. References to Hideo Kojima’s works, The Witcher, and even Harry Potter lie dormant throughout the city as well.

CD Projekt Red likes to have fun with its Easter eggs. One of the most popular among Cyberpunk 2077 players is the mystery of FF:06:B5. The secrets of Night City have engaged many players since the game’s launch, and it’s wild to think that there are still some mysteries that are waiting to be found.

CD Projekt Red is a Master of Easter Eggs

Cyberpunk 2077 and its Phantom Liberty DLC may be the most recent releases from CD Projekt Red, but it certainly isn’t the only game to have undiscovered secrets. Nine years later, the developer claims that there are even Easter eggs in The Witcher 3 that players haven’t found yet. The work and effort that the company’s developers have put into these hidden features is wonderfully insane, and it keeps players coming back for more.

It may be disappointing that Project Orion is years away, but these undiscovered secrets are a perfect opportunity to return to Cyberpunk 2077 with a new motivation. In-game Easter eggs can really help a game continue to feel alive, and CD Projekt Red does this well. The world-building prowess of this developer is proven every time a new Easter egg is discovered, and it will be exciting to see what still has yet to be revealed. There’s no telling how long it will take Cyberpunk 2077 players to find these Easter eggs, but there is at least plenty of time to get the job done before the sequel’s launch.
