  • Fans are not only recreating Breaking Bad characters in Fallout 4, but in other popular video games like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Minecraft.

An avid Fallout 4 fan attempts to recreate the likeness of Breaking Bad‘s Walter White in-game and ends up with surprisingly good results. Though it may seem like a bad combination at first glance, it turns out the iconic drug dealer from the legendary AMC drama doesn’t look all that out of place wearing a vault suit in the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout 4.

With the Fallout franchise’s popularity at an all-time high thanks to the widespread success of the Amazon TV show, more and more players are messing around with Bethesda’s famous role-playing games and showing off the player characters they’ve created. One individual, for instance, managed to make a lifelike rendition of Norm from the Fallout TV series in Fallout 4. Another fan, meanwhile, created an accurate replica of Lucy, one of the main protagonists in Prime Video’s acclaimed live-action Fallout adaptation. This latest player character recreation, however, stands out like a sore thumb as it’s based off of a different TV show entirely, which makes it all the more hilarious.

Fallout 4 Player Beats the Game Using Only a Rolling Pin

A Fallout 4 player online completes a unique challenge run of the game, beating it while only using a rolling pin during combat.

A Reddit user named FlaminHot_Depression posted an image gallery on the r/Fallout subreddit, showing off their rendition of teacher-turned-drug-lord Walter White in Fallout 4. They managed to make their player character share a very striking resemblance to the protagonist from the seminal AMC TV show, so much so to the point where it almost looks like an official crossover skin of some sort.

The first screenshot that FlaminHot_Depression shared was that of their Walter White replica standing in an RV wearing nothing but underwear, which is a direct callback to one of the meth-making scenes from the iconic first episode of Breaking Bad. The other photos the Redditor took show their Walter White-inspired player character donning a bright blue vault suit and standing menacingly throughout random locations in Fallout 4. In one of the pictures, FlaminHot_Depression even gave Walter White a nice little VaultTec-branded party hat to go alongside his outfit.

As one might expect, the responses to this post were filled with Redditors poking fun at FlaminHot_Depression’s hilarious creation. The user Brewmaster92785, for instance, jokingly stated that this must be where “the blue mentats” came from, while fellow commenter MrPokketRokket expressed that the one thing missing from this Walter White recreation was “an unholy amount of Pre-War cash and Mentats stacked up somewhere.” Others in the comment section, meanwhile, responded by posting Fallout-ified versions of famous Breaking Bad quotes, from “Codsworth, we need to cook” and “My name is Piper Write, yo,” to “I’m not irradiated, Piper, I am the radiation” and “I am the one who VATS.” They may be silly jokes, but they’re all pretty fitting nonetheless.

Unsurprisingly, fans have made Breaking Bad tributes in other popular video games as well, like Grand Theft Auto 5, Minecraft, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Bloodborne, and even Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Players have managed to make a number of impressive accomplishments regarding this, from somehow turning Red Dead Redemption 2‘s Arthur Morgan into Walter White to making renditions of fellow Breaking Bad character Saul Goodman in Fallout 76. At this point, it seems like it’s only a matter of time until someone recreates the entire Breaking Bad cast in games like Fallout 4.
