Fallout 76: 10 Must-Have CAMP Resource Items

Building a CAMP is a must in Fallout 76. Players can build their CAMP almost anywhere they like. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of different items that players can build. Knowing what to build can be a bit tricky, especially for new players.

When building, there is a whole section dedicated to resources. This section is filled with items that players can place in their CAMPS to generate certain things passively. Some of the items are obtainable through quests, others are event drops, and some are only available in the Atomic Shop. Out of all the CAMP resource generators, there are a handful that are really worth investing in.

10 Turbo-Fert Fertilizer Collector

Regrow Crops Instantly

• Obtainable From Samuel In Foundation For 750 Gold Bullion

The Turbo-Fert Fertilizer Collector was introduced to the game in the Wastelanders update. This was the update that brought NPCs into Fallout 76. This item can be purchased from Samuel for 750 Gold Bullion once the player has reached max affinity with the faction.

When placed in a CAMP, the Turbo-Fert Fertilizer will passively produce Turbo-Fer Fertilizer Grenades. When used, these will instantly regrow any crop that the player has harvested in their CAMP. This is ideal for herbivores who rely on crops for buffs.

9 A Collectron

There’s A Lot To Choose From

Collectrons passively go out and collect items for players. The robots have a little station where they deposit all their acquired goodies for the player to pick up.

There are lots of Collectrons in Fallout 76. Some gather food, others gather junk, and during one seasonal event, there’s a Collectron that gathers Holiday Gifts. Some of the most popular Collectrons can be seen below:

8 Mirelurk Steamer

The Mirelurk Steamer is an Atomic Shop item that will passively generate various Mirelurk-based meals for the player to enjoy. The machine can store up to 10 pieces of meat. Each meal it produces offers different timed buffs for players to enjoy. If the player is a Carnivore, then the buff is doubled.

• Roasted Mirelurk Meat: +25 HP, +10 Max AP, +10% Food
• Mirelurk Jerky: +15 Damage Resistance | 20% Food
• Cooked Softshell Meat: +20 Max AP | 15% Food
• Smoked Mirelurk Fillets: Breathe Underwater | +30 Carry Weight, 25% Food

If this item can not be found in the Atomic Shop, players can still buy it by going into their CAMP build mode and finding the Mirelurk Steamer in the resource section. It costs 500 Atoms.

7 Nuka-Cola Mystery Machine

A Nuka-Cola Every 5 Minutes

• Obtainable From Mortimer in The Crater Core For 1250 Gold Bullion

Nuka-Cola is featured in every Fallout game. It is the preferred beverage of most Wastelanders, except for those living in New Vegas! Originally, this plan was a Season 14 Scoreboard reward, but it is now obtainable from Mortimer in the Crater Core. It costs 1250 Gold Bullion and the player needs to reach the reputation of Cautious to be able to buy it.

The machine costs 15 Caps to use, and it dispenses a random bottle of Nuka-Cola. The machine can be used every 5 minutes, making it a good way to complete daily and weekly challenges that require players to drink Nuka-Cola. It is also good for those wanting to build certain ammo types and grenades that require Nuka-Cola.

6 Fusion Core Recharger

No More Crafting Fusion Cores

There are lots of Power Armor users in Fallout 76. All Power Armor sets rely on Fusion Cores to work. This can be fairly annoying as Fusion Cores tend not to last very long.

The Fusion Core Recharger is exactly what it sounds like; it recharges the player’s Fusion Cores. It can be purchased from the Atomic Shop for 700 Atoms. While it is a fairly costly item, it is a worthwhile investment for Power Armor users.

5 Armco Ammunition Construction Appliance

Generate Ammo From Home

The Armco Ammunition Construction Appliance generates ammo for players to use. It can produce a wide selection of ammo, making it a very useful machine. It is difficult to obtain as the player needs to have reached the rank of Ally with the raiders.

However, the grind is worth it. While the machine doesn’t generate thousands of bullets, it makes enough to keep players shooting. Just be sure to collect the ammo regularly, as if the machine gets full, it will stop producing ammo.

4 Popcorn Machine

A Tasty Treat For Players

• A Reward For Completing The Spooky Scorched Event
• Obtainable From Mortimer in the Crater Core For 1250 Gold Bullion

The Popcorn Machine is fairly self-explanatory. It produces popcorn. The machine can hold up to 12 units of popcorn. While popcorn isn’t the best food in the game, it can help to keep the player’s hunger bar relatively full.

Also, for those generous players, it is a fun item to keep unlocked, so other players can come by and enjoy a snack while they take a look around.

This was a reward for a limited-time event, but it is now available for 1250 Gold Bullion in the Crater Core.

3 Birthday Cake

Celebrate Fallout 76’s Anniversary With Cake

• Only Obtainable For Those Who Completed The 2023 Birthday Challenge

Unfortunately, new players can’t get this item unless the event is brought back in the future. It was obtained by completing Fallout 76’s Birthday Challenge.

It passively produces up to 8 slices of cake. This cake helps to fill the player’s hunger bar. While it can be a challenge to get all the materials to make the cake, it is one of the best food generators in the game. For those who have this unlocked, they should place it down as soon as possible to start satisfying their hunger quickly and easily.

2 Coffee Machine

A Big AP Boost

There are a couple of variations of the Coffee Machine, but they all do the same thing. They generate canned coffee at a player’s CAMP. There are a couple of reasons why this is one of the best resource items in the game:

• Canned Coffee Doesn’t Expire
• It Gives Players +12 AP Regeneration For 25 Seconds
• The Boost is Stackable

This is a must-have item for those who use VATS. This will regenerate VATS while they are being used. It is one of the only items in the game that does this.

1 Company Tea Machine

A Longer AP Boost

Similar to the Coffee Machine, the Company Tea Machine passively creates drinks that provide a boost to AP. However, this boost is different.

The drink that the Company Tea Machine produces gives the player the following buffs:

• +10% AP Refresh Rate For 60 Minutes
• +20% Disease Resistance For 60 Minutes

The disease resistance boost isn’t really that important, but the AP refresh makes a big difference to players. Being able to fill up the AP bar faster can be a real lifesaver.
