An essential part of expanding your farm in Farming Simulator 25 is having buildings on the new plots of land you purchase. Using the build feature means you can have more storage space, don’t have to travel as far to harvest your crops and look after your animals, and have a few places where you can rest and take stock of the day.
However, building comes at a material and monetary cost, and it takes some time to get it right. It’s not a simple process, but the more time you put into it, the more value you’ll get out of it. Here’s everything you need to know about building in Farming Simulator 25.

9 Beginner Tips For Farming Simulator 25
There’s a lot that can go wrong when starting Farming Simulator 25, so here’s how to be successful from the get-go.
How to Construct Buildings
The first step to building any structure in Farming Simulator 25 is selecting the building you’d like to construct and placing it where you want to build it. You can do this by going to the Construction section in the shop and finding the building you want from that menu. Some structures like containers and silos will be placed immediately, but some larger structures like farmhouses and garages will place a construction site.
The construction site will then indicate what materials you need in order to build the house or garage that you’ve placed. They will get built over time as you place the materials, and they have several steps to them until they’re completely done. So, for example, a house will start out needing 1000 wood, long planks, and planks; then once that stage is finished, you’ll need to place 8000 cement bags, and so on.
The initial price of the construction sites is usually about $1000, but the real pricey parts come along with the constant need for supplies to build. There are some farmhouse options in the construction menu that let you build a farmhouse immediately, like a silo or shed, but these are very pricey. The main draw of placing construction sites is that you can build your buildings over time without investing too much money in them too quickly. It gives you the time to design your farm the way you want while still being able to focus on production.
How to Collect and Unload Building Materials
The easiest way to collect materials for building structures and houses is to buy them directly from a warehouse in town. You can locate these shops by finding the shopping basket icon on your map. Warehouses have a large range of goods you can buy, and they should have everything you need to build your houses and garages.
The materials you purchase will appear at the warehouse where you bought them, and the next step is to transport them to your construction site. To do this, you need to use a forklift or loader and transport them back to the construction site. Using something like a flatbed trailer will make it easier to transport multiple sets at once. When you get to the site, you can simply place them where the indicator is, and the first stage of building will start.
Alternatively, you can also make your own planks by cutting down trees and using them at a sawmill. This takes quite a bit longer, but you’ll also be able to make a bit of profit from the wood this way. So, if you’re not in a rush to get your building up, you should consider using the sawmill to make your own planks for building.
Either way, once you have the materials and you get to building, the last thing to do is wait until each stage is complete. As each stage finishes, you’ll slowly be able to see the progress being made on your building, so you’ll also get a good idea of when you need to feed it some more materials. This can be a long process, so have some patience, and you’ll have your perfect Farming Simulator 25 farm in no time.
