Final Fantasy 14 has officially revealed the Artifact sets for all 21 playable jobs in Dawntrail. Players can expect to get these stylish gear sets once they near level 100 in the new Final Fantasy 14 expansion.

During each expansion in Final Fantasy 14, each playable class in the critically-acclaimed MMORPG receives a unique, job-specific set of armor and matching weapon near the level cap. Not to be confused with Relic weapons, which usually require a substantial grind to earn in Final Fantasy 14, these sets give characters an entry-level power boost to let them prepare for the endgame. With the addition of the Viper and Pictomancer in Dawntrail, Final Fantasy 14 now has a total of 21 combat classes to choose from.

Though the exact method of acquiring these Artifact gear sets is currently unknown, if it follows the precedent set by previous expansions, players will be able to get them without much trouble near the end of the Dawntrail story. Most Artifact gear can also be upgraded to become dyeable, and while this process has sometimes taken effort to unlock, it was trivial in Endwalker. Considering the Dawntrail Artifact gear gets to use Final Fantasy 14’s extra dye slot, unlocking the dyeable version will be all the more important.

This is also the first Artifact armor set designed with Final Fantasy 14’s new graphics update in mind. The visual overhaul coming in Dawntrail renders player models, environments, and textures like metal and cloth with much higher fidelity, letting these stunning Artifact gear sets literally shine.

Players can get a first glimpse at the Viper Artifact gear, as well as the graphical update, in the Final Fantasy 14 Benchmark. The first iteration of the benchmark received a few complaints, prompting Final Fantasy 14 to work on releasing a second version, expected to release around May 23. With just over a month until the expansion launches, fans will have plenty of time to experiment with the character creator in the new benchmark to see how much the player models improved.
