Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is an extremely demanding game. It tests the combat and puzzle-solving skills of the players multiple times. However, the rewards at the end of these challenges make the effort worth it. The different regions in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth have unique challenges, which keep things from getting boring.

In the Junon Region, players will face one of the toughest enemies in the Mindflayer. This opponent is said to go after the brains of its opponents. The statement alone is enough to stop the most daring heroes. But players will have to find and beat this fiend at all costs if they want to fully complete the Junon Region.

How To Summon The Mindflayer In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Players won’t be able to fight the Mindflayer unless they have analyzed the four lifesprings in the Junon Region. These lifesprings can be found by following owls. In case players are having a hard time locating the lifesprings, they can take a look at the images below.

• The first lifespring is located to the west of Wainwright’s hut.
• The next lifespring can be found near the coast of Under Junon.
• The third lifespring is situated to the north-east of the Crow’s Nest.
• The fourth and final lifespring is to the south of Crow’s Nest.

After you have analyzed all four lifesprings, Chadley will call you and reveal that there is a dangerous fiend in the region who goes by the name of the Mindflayer.

How To Beat Mindflayer In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

The Mindflayer’s location will automatically pop up on the map after completing the lifesprings in Junon. It is located near the Castaway Lifespring, which can be found toward the south of Junon. Before heading into the fight, remember to heal and check the equipment of your party members. Once you have reached the area, press and hold the Triangle button to start the fight.

The Mindflayer is a dangerous opponent, mainly because it does not have a major weakness. However, you can pressure it by using Synergy Abilities. These abilities can be used after you have used a character’s unique skills. Once you have accumulated enough Synergy Charge, unleash a Synergy Ability to pressure and ultimately stagger the Mindflayer.

The recommended level for the fight is 26, so if you engage the Mindflayer while being a few levels above it, things will be comparatively easier. If you are unable to beat the Mindflayer, try to complete the side quests to gain a few levels and challenge the fiend once again.
