Funko Fusion blends pop culture together in a number of weird and wacky ways, as players dive into worlds inspired by their favorite films and TV shows, all reimagined in the unique and visually striking style of Funko Pop vinyls. Players who managed to pre-order Funko Fusion ahead of its release on September 13, 2024, are entitled to a couple of bonus characters, as well as alternate costumes for both. The pre-order bonuses will be of particular interest to fans of The Walking Dead, as both characters are from the franchise.
The Funko Fusion pre-order bonuses are:
- Rick Grimes playable character (Sheriff costume)
- Rick Grimes Leader costume
- Michonne playable character
- Michonne Traveler costume
How To Get Pre-Order Bonuses in Funko Fusion
Players who pre-order won’t need to follow any additional steps to claim the bonus Funko Fusion content, but it isn’t explicitly explained where the additional characters can be found. Thankfully, this is a relatively simple process and can be actioned as soon as you have unlocked your first world in the game.
To recruit Rick Grimes or Michonne as a playable character in Funko Fusion, players will simply need to go to a character selector from any of the game’s world hubs. These are easy to identify as they are blank Funko Pop boxes and don’t fit with the theme of the hub itself. They may be a little hard to spot, given how vastly different each franchise world is, but they’re generally always in the same spot. Once in the character selector, simply scroll to the top row, marked “DLC”, and select either Grimes or Michonne from there.
As for the additional costumes, this requires a small extra step. If you wish to equip an alternate outfit, simply hover over your favored character and press the “Show Variants” button, which is Square on PS or X on Xbox. This will bring up the list of available costumes that your selected character can choose from.
