Genshin Impact often tasks its players with hunting down various materials and ingredients before letting them advance. Whether it’s Talent Level-Ups or Weapon Ascension, players regularly need to collect unique sets of ingredients in order to enhance their characters and equipment.

While Weapons can be Enhanced, Refined, and Ascended, playable characters in Genshin Impact are generally either leveled up or Ascended, the latter of which requires rather peculiar ingredients. Every character in the game asks for a certain assortment of items whenever they reach a point of Ascension, and each of these characters’ sets of Ascension Materials includes a particular local specialty, like the Cecilia, which players must track down. Here are all the Cecilia locations in Genshin Impact.

Updated on November 30, 2023, by Nahda Nabiilah: Collecting Cecilia is a bit tricky in Genshin Impact because, unlike Violetgrass or Lumitoile, the Mondstadt local specialty is actually easy to find and not hidden anywhere. However, the available quantity of Cecilia in Genshin Impact is almost criminal as players must make multiple rotations every two days to get the correct amount of flowers from one specific location to level up. If Travelers choose to go on this treacherous route, they’ll have enough materials to level up certain Genshin Impact characters like Venti and Albedo.

While Travelers are often in pursuit of Jueyun Chili for characters like Xiangling, or Violetgrass for Qiqi, the local specialty associated with Venti or Albedo is the elegant Cecilia flower. These Mondstadt local specialties, as their title implies, are native to the game’s Mondstadt region, and although they’re uncommon, they aren’t as difficult to find as novelties like Violetgrass and the fabled Qingxin Flower. LIke any other local specialties, Cecilia respawns every 48 hours.

Cecilia can be found naturally throughout Mondstadt, with Starsnatch Cliff (just east of the City of Mondstadt) offering players a small field of Cecilia to stroll through. Players will find Cecilia in unusually large numbers across the Cliff, but otherwise, the flower can’t be found sporadically in Mondstadt’s natural areas. If players have already collected the Cecilia at Starsnatch Cliff, and still need more flowers, there are thankfully several alternate avenues to Cecilia, though they’re rather limited.

If Travelers aren’t feeling like going out on a flower-picking adventure, they can opt for purchasing some Cecilia from Flora, in the City of Mondstadt. She can be found just to the right of the main entrance and sells flowers from behind her cute stand. Once players have bought out Flora’s supplies, they can also head to two other convenient sources for an extra handful of Cecilia.

Travelers will receive some extra Cecilia flowers for speaking to an NPC who wanders the top of Starsnatch Cliff for the first time. Likewise, a nun who tends to the front entrance of the Mondstadt Cathedral will also give players some of these Mondstadt local specialties when spoken to. These flowers are basically only used for a couple of reasons, like Ascending certain characters, offering 100 Cecilia at the TCG shop in Genshin Impact to buy Cecilia Card Back, and crafting Anemoculus Resonance Stones using the following materials:

  • Dandelion Seed ×5
  • Cecilia ×5
  • Crystal Chunk ×1
  • Mora ×500

Ascending a character that requires Cecilia is a bit tough, so players should start gathering the Mondstadt local specialty in Genshin Impact as soon as possible due to each level of Ascension calling for more Cecilia than the last. Not to mention, Anemoculus Resonance Stones will help locate the game’s 60+ Anemoculus, so players may find themselves more as they progress through the game. Unless Travelers have been actively noting how Oculus they have and its location, it may be tricky to find the very last ones.
