The nation of Sumeru in Genshin Impact was first introduced to players in Version 3.0 and soon became one of the largest regions in the land of Teyvat. The area not only consisted of the lush rainforest and dilapidated ruins but also the echoes of a lost desert civilization.

The land soon became known as one of the largest of the five currently released nations, and with it brought a variety of gameplay for players to immerse themselves in. One of the many joys Genshin Impact players can indulge in is the cooking system with its variety of exquisite food and region-specific dishes that characters can eat.

With every region, new dishes are released – some of which are hidden or easily obtained. Moreover, as the game takes a lot of inspiration from real-life instances, players can take pride in noticing some familiar dishes from their home countries or dishes they just simply recognize from a cuisine they enjoy.

Sumeru is known to derive its inspiration from South Asian and Middle Eastern culture- as such, many of its lore, architecture, customs, and recipes are somewhat related to it. The region currently has 31 recipes available for cooking, and they all range from ATK boosting to health replenishing.

Jahangir, Port Ormos

Genshin Impact- Sumeru Food Locations Jahangir

The first set of recipes can be found at a small stall in Port Ormos. If Travelers teleport to the usual waypoint at the Port itself, turn right, and immediately drop to the first floor where the street vendors are, they’ll be able to spot Jahangir right there. He’s a mere food shop owner, and players can purchase the following recipes from him:

  • Panipuri
  • Curry Shrimp
  • Samosa
