A recent Genshin Impact leak has revealed that version 4.4 will set players against new enemies in the Spiral Abyss. Genshin Impact takes place in an interactive world called Teyvat, which is divided into different regions ruled by Archons, mysterious deities with divine powers and wisdom. These unique mini-worlds not only hold plenty of lore but also feature various endgame content, with one being the Spiral Abyss that consists of multiple floors. They serve as a farming spot for Travelers who need Primogems to purchase new characters and weapons.

Genshin Impact‘s Spiral Abyss is a combat dungeon where players go up against elemental enemies to test their well-rounded teams and get lucrative rewards. Those who have already progressed in the story can keep themselves busy fighting through the floors of the Spiral Abyss, which is unlocked at Adventure Rank 20. In addition to Primogems, this solo-challenge domain offers a certain amount of Mora, the main currency that can be used to buy items and upgrade artifacts.

According to a Genshin Impact leak from PTL, version 4.4 will bring new enemies to the Spiral Abyss, including Aeonblight Drake and Ruin Serpent. In the first half of the twelfth floor, players will defeat Eremite Desert Clearwater, Eremite Stone Enchanter, Eremite Floral Rind Dancer, Eremite Daythunder, and Eremite Sunfrost to advance to the second part, where they will have to take on Setekh Wenut. The last two chambers of the Spiral Abyss will allegedly pit Travelers against Elemental Specters, Abyss Electro Lecter, Nobushi, Frostarm Lawachuri, Thunderhealm Lawachurl, Axe Mitachurl and Fontemer Aberrant.

Fighting through the Spiral Abyss could be an arduous task for players who don’t set up a versatile team, though the domain provides them with useful buffs. It’s worth noting that enemies in this dungeon are more powerful than their overworld counterparts, giving Travelers a real combat challenge on each floor. The Spiral Abyss is widely known as the hardest endgame content in Genshin Impact, as it features several restrictions that put players at a disadvantage against enemies.

Aside from new Spiral Abyss enemies, version 4.4 will reportedly fill in some gaps between Fontaine and Liyue by expanding the map into two sections, one of which is located in the middle of Stormterror’s Lair and Qingce Village. Players will find them in the northwest corner of Genshin Impact‘s Liyue region. They will likely hear more about these explorable areas before the release of version 4.4 on January 31.
