A recent leak from Genshin Impact is teasing a major update coming to the game’s friends list, increasing the cap on total friends within the RPG. Since the game’s launch, HoYoverse has often encouraged players to band up with one another in-game to explore the world of Teyvat and complete event challenges. Fans of the game can visit each other’s in-game world, check out other players’ Serenitea Pot layouts, and even duke it out in Genshin Impact‘s Genius Invokation TCG. Now, a rumored change is looking to make an upgrade to the friend system.
Genshin Impact‘s Co-Op system was one of the game’s main selling points early on, with players able to jump into their friends’ worlds. While Genshin Impact does not feature a fully connected world, like many MMORPGs, fans can allow up to three other players to enter their world and party up together. Genshin Impact‘s Domains allow multiple players to tackle the game’s dungeons together, offering a unique gameplay style with multiple characters on-field at the same time. Now, Genshin Impact‘s friend system is getting a much-needed update.
Genshin Impact Players Are Unhappy About New Map Expansion
While Version 4.6 added the final zone of Fontaine, many Genshin Impact players believe it came at an unfortunate cost to another region of Teyvat.
Genshin Impact Making Upgrade to Friend System
A new leak shared by Genshin Impact leaker Fy Leaks is teasing the next upgrade to Genshin Impact‘s friend system. According to the post, Genshin Impact‘s upcoming Version 4.7 update will increase the maximum cap for the game’s friend system to 100, a major bump from the previous limit of 60. The post also teases that the friend system update comes as a result of Genshin Impact‘s new Spiral Abyss content, which will allow players to borrow their friends’ characters. Genshin Impact‘s Version 4.7 update is expected to debut on June 5.
The teased friend system update comes amidst swirling rumors about Genshin Impact‘s newest form of endgame content, the “Imaginarium Theater” game mode. Based on recent leaks, the game mode will function similarly to the game’s pre-existing Spiral Abyss, featuring a rotating set of enemies for players to challenge. Imaginarium Theater is also expected to have special requirements for challenges, including using characters of specific elements, alongside a selection of trial characters to deploy. The new game mode will reportedly come alongside an increase to the gems available from each Spiral Abyss cycle, as well.
With Genshin Impact‘s newest endgame challenge as a highlight, Version 4.7 looks to have plenty in store for fans. The update will welcome three new characters to Genshin Impact‘s roster with the release of Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos. Version 4.7 is also expected to bring the next chapter of the game’s Archon Quest, expanding on Genshin Impact‘s main story and rumored to see the return of popular supporting character Dainsleif. As Genshin Impact‘s Fontaine cycle winds down, HoYoverse shows no signs of slowing down with the game’s upcoming content.
