Genshin Impact: To Wish Upon a Star Quest Guide

“To Wish Upon A Star” is a small world quest in Genshin Impact where players have to help a small boy named Orqo. The quest is relatively easy to complete, but with a few snags here and there if players have yet to familiarize themselves with the new Genshin Impact Natlan region mechanics.

Since Natlan is known as the land of dragons, almost every quest in the area requires players to indwell a Saurian to complete it. Their abilities can be a little confusing, but once you get the hang of it, it is extremely enjoyable. This guide will be covering how to effectively complete “To Wish Upon A Star” and earn all the rewards.

To Wish Upon A Star Quest Location

Players need to find Orqo, a little boy standing on the edge of a massive hole, to trigger this quest. Orqo is not anywhere near the main hubs of the region, and can be found towards the edge of the map in the Coatepec Mountain area. You can use the teleport waypoint northeast of the Ancestral Temple and head south until you find the kid staring down a big hole in the ground.

Collect The Shattered Star Shards

After speaking to Orqo above ground, drop into the hole and converse with him again to continue the quest. He’ll request that you use the ability of the Tepetlisaurus to find the Star Shards around the area. There will be a Spiritsconce behind you that you can use to indwell the Tepetlisaurus.

Attack The Rock First

Use the Tepetlisaurus’s ability to body slam the rock, so that it breaks and the Star Shards scatter around the hole.

Use The Drilling Mechanic (Tepetlisaurus Drill)

The Star Shards will be spread across the walls of the cave and, unfortunately, there is no way for you to climb and retrieve them. You will have to use the Tepetlisaurus’s drilling ability to scale the walls and grab each shard.

Players should be careful not to jump, as this might push them off the wall and back onto the ground (depending on which way the frame is positioned). Your Tepetlisaurus might lose some HP from the fall, and you’ll have to climb the wall all over again.

The blue patches on the wall indicate each Star Shard you need to collect. Some players have noted that, to retrieve a Star Shard, you need to press the attack button when you get close to it. Then you will only be able to take the Shard out. Once you have collected all three of the Shards, head back to Orqo and speak to him.

You’ll then need to return the scattered Star Shards and wait for the hidden power to awaken. Spoiler Alert: there is no hidden power and all players have to do is simply stand there and wait for the dialogue to finish. Players can score the hidden achievement “Awaken! Night Head!” upon completion. In addition to that, once you’re done, head back down into the hole and go behind the rock to find a Luxurious Chest available to claim.
