Grand Theft Auto 6 fans have a theory that the game’s first trailer may be playing out in reverse, which would greatly change a viewer’s perception of Lucia’s story. GTA 6 fans have been speculating about the trailer a lot since its release, and this latest theory is one of the most interesting ones.
Rockstar’s upcoming GTA 6 is probably the most eagerly awaited game in the world right now. The game’s trailer was revealed earlier this week, and it was a huge hit. Guinness World Records even confirmed that the GTA 6 trailer became the most-viewed video game reveal on YouTube. The video obtained 120 million views in less than three full days, and the numbers keep going up.
Florida Joker Responds to GTA 6 Trailer Reference
The Florida Joker responds to Rockstar in regard to what appears to be a reference to him in the first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer.
Now, GTA 6 fan Hurdenn shared an interesting theory that the trailer may be playing in reverse. When looking at the video for the first time, most gamers will believe that Lucia gets out of jail, and then meets the male protagonist (who is named Jason, according to leaks), and they start doing robberies together. However, when looking at Hurdenn’s edited version of these events, a new story is unveiled: Lucia is together with Jason from the start, they rob the store together, and then she’s arrested.
That’s quite an interesting take on the story, considering that GTA 6 fans have already noticed that Lucia is wearing an ankle monitor in the game’s official art, but not in the trailer. It was hinted in the comments of the post that most of the scenes that appeared in the trailer could have been part of the prologue. After that, the game would open up, but Lucia’s movement would be restricted by the ankle monitor, which would limit the player to a certain area of the map before they progress more and track down their former partner in crime. While this conjecture makes sense, it’s not official, so fans would be wise to await confirmation from Rockstar.
There’s still a long way to go before GTA 6 is released in 2025, and fans will surely continue to speculate about the game. However, there are indications that 2024 could still be a good year for GTA fans, despite the lack of GTA 6.
