There is no doubt that progression in Helldivers 2 brings new toys to the arsenal for players to play with, but at the same time, it means that the threats on the battlefield become much more challenging to deal with. Not only does this allow for more varied gameplay, it also paves the way for players to attempt some truly interesting strategies to gain the upper hand.
When facing the bug hordes from the Terminids, the very sight of a Charger is likely to cause some consternation for any squad. However, instead of dealing with it the conventional way, the Caught Them by Supplies trophy and achievement requires a more specific way of killing a Charger in Helldivers 2. Here’s everything to know about doing just that.
Updated March 13th, 2024 by Russ Boswell: Killing a charger with a Supply Pod can be pretty difficult in Helldivers 2 depending on when and where players encounter the Terminids. Getting the “Caught Them By Supplies” trophy in Helldivers 2 can be pretty challenging if players aren’t sure where to go or exactly what to do. To better showcase how to kill a Charger with a Supply Pod in Helldivers 2, the following guide has been updated to include a companion video.

Unlocking the Caught Them by Supplies Trophy & Achievement in Helldivers 2
With Chargers becoming part of the equation from Medium/Hard difficulty onwards, there is a need for players to pack more anti-armor weaponry in their loadout to deal with the threat properly. With only an exposed weak point at the back, it can be difficult to hurt a Charger without taking some risks and baiting it. Naturally, the whole process will be a lot smoother with teammates, but doing it solo is still possible.
In order to unlock the Let’s Call it a Draw trophy and achievement in Helldivers 2, players must deliver the killing blow using a Resupply pod. The Stratagem is one that is familiar to all who have played the game, dropping a pod of supplies that can replenish ammo, stimpacks, and grenades. Getting it to be a weapon can be hard task, especially so when going up against a Charger.
The long cooldown time means it is also not possible to repeat the process to get it done quickly, so players must make it count when the time comes. First, clear all surrounding enemies, leaving the Charger on its own. Now, try to bait it and circle around it to hurt its rear weak point using your best weapons. As it starts limping, it presents an opportunity to fulfill the requirements for the trophy and achievement. At this point, it is best to keep it to one spot, which is where the A/M-23 EMS Mortar Sentry comes into play. The shells leave behind a static field that stuns enemies, which makes it easier to call down a Resupply pod on the Charger itself.
Try to aim for the ground beneath its belly to get a pinpoint drop. It will likely take a few attempts to nail this, but if the killing blow succeeds, players will obtain the Let’s Call it a Draw trophy and achievement, while having a story to tell for the ages.
