Helldivers 2 Player’s Extraction Attempt Fails Hilariously at the Final Moment

Despite surviving against the odds, a Helldivers 2 player fails to extract safely at the last moment due to an unexpected twist.

The previous Helldivers 2 update resolved a targeting issue with the Spear, ensuring it correctly aimed at entities like spawners and compound objects. However, the fix inadvertently introduced a crash when players aimed with the Spear. Patch 01.000.403 has addressed this issue, providing a more stable gameplay environment, and also fixed another crash that occurred when unique hellpod patterns were used during launch cutscenes. In addition to resolving these crashes, one significant update is the global availability of Japanese language voice-overs on both PS5 and PC, broadening accessibility for players who prefer this language option.

Additionally, several miscellaneous issues have also been addressed. Text corruption issues, particularly with Traditional Chinese, have been fixed, ensuring proper character display. The Helldivers 2 Plasma Punisher now correctly fires out of the SH-32 Shield Generator Pack and the FX-12 Shield Generator. Adjustments to the Quasar cannon’s heat management now reflect the correct changes based on hot and cold planets. The Spore Spewer no longer appears purple on certain planets, and pink question marks appearing in missions on various planets have been eliminated. Moreover, an issue where available Operations reset after players reconnect from inactivity has been fixed.

Despite the fixes, some issues persist and are being actively worked on. Friend requests via friend code in-game currently do not work. Delays in Medals and Super Credits payouts can occur. Another issue is that deployed mines may sometimes become invisible, although they remain active. Arc weapons can behave inconsistently and sometimes misfire. Furthermore, most weapons shoot below the crosshair when aiming down the sights. Additionally, the mission count in the Career tab resets to zero after every game restart. Finally, some Helldivers 2 weapon descriptions are outdated and do not reflect their current design.

Patch 01.000.403 is now live, bringing all these fixes for players to enjoy. Arrowhead remains active in listening to player feedback and working to address known issues to ensure a dynamic experience.
