A pair of Honkai: Star Rail leaks have given players a glimpse into Dr. Ratio’s combat animations and signature Light Cone. Honkai: Star Rail confirmed in a drip marketing campaign that new characters, such as Xueyi, Ruan Mei, and Dr. Ratio, will join the playable cast in version 1.6 later this year. The upcoming version will also add long-awaited Blade and Kafka reruns for a limited time. Players will have the opportunity to get their Eidolons if they previously pulled the two characters from the banner.
Honkai: Star Rail‘s version 1.5 is finally here, and it features a chock-full of content, from artifact sets and banner characters to events that give away valuable items. Players will have the opportunity to expand their team with the five-star Wind unit Huohuo until the second phase of the 1.5 update goes live on December 6. There are two flagship events that can be completed to get Stellar Jades, ascension materials, and other lucrative rewards. Moreover, Honkai: Star Rail players are free to explore a new area called Fyxestroll Garden, which is filled with NPCs and treasures. It’s located in Lofu Xianzhou and unlocked by finishing “The Fox’s Ghost Tale” mission.
Some recent Honkai: Star Rail leaks from Dimbreath and c2tr_ revealed Dr. Ratio’s combat animations and signature Light Cone before the character makes his playable debut in the game. Dr. Ratio swings his book and performs basic attacks that have a slashing effect. He summons a statue of himself, which seemingly provides all team members with temporary buffs. The upcoming unit has a unique ultimate animation, showing Dr. Ratio calculating actual trigonometry to drop a giant pillar on enemies.
His combat animations aside, Honkai: Star Rail‘s Dr. Ratio takes advantage of a five-star Light Cone called Baptism of Pure Thought, which increases his Crit DMG by 20% as well as grants a debate effect upon using ultimate. It also doles out additional Crit damage to enemies for each debuff sustained. It’s safe to say that Dr. Ratio’s ability to perform follow-up attacks could make him essential to many team compositions.
Follow-up attack in Honkai: Star Rail is a combat mechanic that allows some characters, such as Herta, Himeko, and March 7th, to deal extra damage to enemies when certain conditions are met. It can help break shields and kill low-health enemies on the field. Despite not all characters being able to do follow-up, it’s still great for enhancing the team’s offensive potential.
