Using team weapons is a great way to handle large groups of enemies in Helldivers 2. Here’s how you can do it.

What Is Liberation Percentage in Helldivers 2?

Planet Status in Helldivers 2

The Helldivers 2 map comprises numerous different sectors, each containing within itself a host of planets. While the specific number of sectors is not precisely known, it is estimated to be slightly more than 50 at the time of writing. In each sector, there’s a liberation percentage indicating the portion of the area free from Automaton occupation. Each planet in a sector has its own liberation percentage, which can be checked easily.

How to Check Liberation Percentage in Helldivers 2

To check the liberation percentage in Helldivers 2, follow these steps:

  • Go to the Galactic War map on your ship.
  • Choose the sector you’re interested in.
  • Navigate through the planets and you will find their current liberation percentages.

Liberation percentages of each sector indicate the status of the Galactic War. To retaliate against the alien invasion, you will need to complete the orders or missions given in the game.

There are two types of orders in Helldivers 2: major orders are given to all players at once, while individual orders are updated daily. As each order is completed, the planet’s percentage increases, ultimately leading to its full liberation. In Helldivers 2, the entire community collaborates towards the ultimate goal of freeing the galaxy from alien occupation.

Once all the planets in a specific sector are liberated, no further missions can be undertaken there. Instead, a new sector becomes available, offering new battles. It’s important to keep in mind that the liberation percentages can also decrease due to mission failures or if a lot of players remain inactive. The alien-occupied areas steadily regenerate over time, and these menacing creatures could potentially re-occupy the liberated land if left unattended. Missions with hard difficulties give a higher boost to the liberation percentage. However, failing them could cause a greater drop in the percentage as well.
